my only happy place is: home alone for hours, playing a video game, snuggled up in a blanket with a small cat sitting on me, all this while eating candy. my parents do not let me do this very often at all.

I agree, I LOVE being up late at night, doing stuff I love instead of sleeping.

Some of my other happy places area:

The CB, of course

singing or chatting with the amazing people in my choir

When I'm so deep into reading that I don't even realize that I'm reading

hanging out with my sister (when we're not annoying each other)

just lying in my bed, allowing my imagination to run wild

writing; doesn't matter where

eating something sweet while reading a good story

Also what a cool thread idea! And a couple more happy places I thought of:

Snuggling with my baby sister and watching cute shows with her, preferably at the same time

-Under the bed (my bed is a loft bed, raised off the ground about 30 or so inches, so there's enough room to sit on the floor or lie down and read)

-With my cat

-The tree outside my house

-Swimming at night, especially doing fun things (swim team ends at 6:15, when it's dark and there are these giant lights on)

-The creek near my house

-In the rain

-Writing/reading in one of the porch swings (not on porches) in our neighborhood park

-My desk

Love this idea Celine! Mine are:

- Listening to music on full blast in my room and dancing around

- Seeing live plays and musicals

- Walking my dog

- Reading late at night in my bed

- Rainy weather

- Eating yummy foods

- and the CB of course!!

- at my writing desk, when no one is bothering me, and the words are just flowing and the clacking of the computer keys is the only sound

- wandering around the woods near my great aunt's house--it used to be a trailer campground so i'll sometimes come across little trinkets (to say nothing of the pixie cup lichen!)

- there's a street i walk along on my way home from school each day and it's always so crowded and there's always little carts selling street food and it just feels so alive

- on the softball field, as the afternoon sinks into evening, and it smells like sun baked dirt and sweat and the leather of my glove, and it doesn't really matter whether we win or lose

- on the top of a ski mountain, as i finish buckling my shoe into my snowboard, and just take a moment to look at the patchwork of gray and brown far below and to breathe in the crisp winter air

- any sort of competition, when the adrenaline works in my favor and i feel like i can do anything

- in the rain, whether it's just a spitting or a downpour, and it feels like i'm just washing off all the negative stuff

- and, of course, the CB! love you all (/p)

aahhh this is such a good idea!!

Some of my happy places are:

- reading with my cats

- the CB, ofc

- dancing! Either in a class learning choreography or alone in my room improv-ing with my favorite songs :)

- hanging out with my friends

- doing art projects

- my backyard

also yes I LOVE being home alone :D 

I love this idea. Some of mine are probably:

- Lying on a grassy hill in the rain

- I live in the woods, and there is a walking trail that branches off into many smaller trails with little swamps and groves hiding all around. I like to take my dog out there and draw the scenery while he runs around

- When the perfect song comes on

-Taking a shower after you've cried

- Walking downtown with my best friends and going into all of the little shops

- The moment before a movie starts

- Getting to play a show with my band (theres a really cute venue near me and sometimes we get invited to go there)

Thats all i can think of!

~Going on a walk when it's kind of dusky outside

~Writing and writing and writing and writing

~Watching Star Trek w/ my Dad & brother

~Reading a book I've read a million times and knowing and loving all the characters because they're all old friends :)
