Silly Confessions

The Confessions thread is a serious place for asking for serious advice and/or just ranting. Here's a place for more lighthearted stuff---for confessing all of your deepest, darkest, and silliest secrets! Anonymously, if you wish, or not, if you don't.

Once, I was on a high mountain where I could see the entire valley below, including little cars on the freeway. And I put my hand up, and waved at the world.

Nya says <bchim>. Because who? Can you be more specific, please?

Several years ago I was watching a documentary on Napoleon, who, as you may know, was nicknamed the Little Corporal beccause he was short. At one point the narrator said dramatically: "And Napoleon advanced out of the battlefield, covered in soot and xmoke and dirt, a sight to be seen - and his soldiers instantly dubbed him The Little Corporal." Only I thought he said the Little Tar-pole. If the narrator would go on so much about how dirty Napoleon was looking, it made perfect sense. And so for some time I labored under the delusion that Napoleon had been known as The Little Tarpole to all and sundry *sigh* The follies of youth...

I refuse to eat popcorn unless utensils are available. Same for crisps/chips. Spoon, chopsticks, I don't mind. As long in there is no food-finger contact, it's alright.

Actually I have a lot of weird food-related ones. I don't consider myself picky but maybe I actually am. I don't eat meat, for one (fish is not included in that). I actually really hate the stretchy/oozy texture of melted cheese (I've heard there are studies which point to seeing melty-cheese as activating a sense of satisfaction, but idk, not for me, friends). I hate swallowing, plus any chewing/slurping sounds, as well as the feeling of having food, like, in your body, if that makes sense? It just feels really gross. A lot of textures really turn me off a lot of foods too. I can't eat or drink anything that is even remotely hot in temperature, and cold things make my teeth hurt and cause me to cough. I don't like pulp or chunky things at all. Or slimy things. Or things that have a strong smell. Especially the smells is really sad, because a lot of things smell really good, but maake me nauseous if I try to ingest any of it. :/ I usually like stale things that are supposed to be crunchy (crackers, crisps), but get bothered if things like lettuce or fruits aren't snappy enough (basically any vegetable is preferable raw, instead of soft and cooked). Then again, I detest grapes (even though they taste good TAT) because it feels like I'm popping an eyeball everytime I break the skin.

You could peel the skin off of the grape before you eat it, to avoid "popping an eyeball". Maybe you could even peel it in a flower shape. It just takes more time, but I think it's a good solution.

I just realized that your location says "Lost, somewhere" and my location says "nowhere in particular" so our locations are basically polar opposites XD

Mn, cutting them in half even usually makes it a little better. Ooh, same with bananas actually. I really dislike eating them the "regular way," to the point I can't finish the whole thing, but if I slice it up, it's completely fine! It's strange how that works.

Recently we went caroling, and a lot of people weren't home, so we had rung about 3 doorbells with no answer. Then, on the next door, someone answered, and I was laughing my head off instead of singing--just laughing and laughing and laughing. I have a very odd sense of humor, for some reason.

whenever my brother shows me something he's drawn, it really doesn't look all that great to me. but i lie through my teeth and tell him how wonderful it is. does that make me a terrible person? should i really tell a 8 year old how afull his drawings are?
