Why do people

Why do people always talk about what they would say to their past self if time-travelling, but never  what they would say to their FUTURE self if their FUTURE self time-travelled and visited THEM? What would you say to your future self? What would you want to know about the future? I'll go first:

I would want to know how well my bakery was going in the future, and if I got my horse that I've been saving up for. I'd also want to know what technology was like in my future self's time.

I would probably ask my future self a lot of things. I would really want to know if I had published any books, and if I did, how they were doing. I agree with you on the technology thing :)

i'd ask whether i got together with the guy i like, and whether i accomplished something great. i just want to benefit the world in some way, yknow? i want to have impact.
