Mkay, this is kind of a weird question, but do you ever get really sad after you finish a book that you really like? Like you don't want it to end? I do. *sniffle* :( I hate when that happens.

(And I know this should be in BaB, but it's filled up with the Warrior clans, and I thought it would just be easier to put it here...) So, do you ever feel like this, or am I just weird and over-obsessed??

Yes! I haven't read a book that good in a while though.

Yeah, it felt like that with Percy Jackson, but it's not like I sobbed or anything.

Oh, I do that all the time. And please, put things like this on BaB. I know it's filled with Warrior clans, but that's exactly why you should put it there. We need more non-Warriors/ non-RP threads over there!

Eh, true I guess. I was just afraid no one would answer if I put it there,

and I was curious about this, so... :\ But next time I will.

Yes!  I am not alone!  I get teary eyed and think about all the good parts of the book and the characters (who die sometimes...) and so on.  Once I even got the sniffles when a villain died. ;) Ah well. This has been happening to me more as I get older.  Either I'm getting more sensitive or I'm reading better books.  Think it's the latter. Or both.

Yes, with good books.  Once I read the last word I keep on staring at it for a while, thinking, 'it's done.  It's ended.  No chapter will continue it.'  And then I think of al my favourite parts, and I get all teary.  Sometimes I've spent hours thinking about one book.  Very seriously.  I love good books. I never want them to end.

I also don't like finishing the last book in a very good series.

Well, to be honest... no.

Don't get me wrong. I love books. However, I actually like it when they end. I don't know why; maybe it's just because I know that it isn't just the beginning I liked, the entire book is good. Or maybe I like knowing about the plot, and the characters, and just about everything in the entire book. I just love to know things. So really, when a book ends, I usually think: Yay! I've finished it! And, wow, it was really good! And then immediately, Hm, what should I read next? Or, if I already know, and I've just been waiting and waiting to read whatever book I want to read, I can't wait to read _____ ____! And if a great character dies, I really don't mind as long as it's exciting and dramatic. I'm not insensitive, but death is just a part of life. I mean, yes, I feel bad for them, but they're fictional characters, and their death usually adds to the plot, and, really, I like it when books make me sad.

Except, of course when the sadness is mixed with sadness at the author. Twice I have mourned for lost characters, because they were awesome, and they didn't need to die, then why they did.

I was slightly upset when Friday of The End was poisoned by the fungus. She deserved a better death than that! What a drab way to go!

And the death of Mai of Unwind was completely unnecessary! She was amazing, and they just up and killed her! All right, the author probably thought she deserved it, and maybe he's right, but I don't care! She could've lived! Why did she have to go?!!

All right, I think I understand your feelings now. ;)
