My dear hammy,

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

My dear hammy,

My dear hammy, Lou, about whom I have posted many times, is dying. She had a bad seizure this morning, she's acting exactly like Leo did the day before he died, and she's getting pretty old anyway. It all fits together, and it's a miracle she didn't die in that seizure.

I'm having rather a hard time with this. Yes, she's only two inches long, but I'm pretty stinkin' attached to her. She's the sweetest, cuddliest hamster I've ever had, and I feel compelled to make you all feel bad, too. Beats me why.

So, y'know, weep an' wail with me here. Or Else.

Mournful cheers,

lavendershy

Andy says "angc." Yes, Lou is an angel, but I think Andy needs to learn to spell.

We're so sorry to hear about Lou, lavendershy. It's very sad to have a pet sick or die. But after a while you will be able to remember the good times you had together and smile about them.

Love,

Old Cricket

I'm so sorry! I'll pray for her, and you. My gerbil died recently, so I know how it feels, and it's horrible.

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope that she dies painlessly. If you bury her, make sure you use a big marker stone. It feels terrible to lose not be able to find the grave. My gerbil died, and I can't.

Aw, Ann!!!  That's so sad, and I hate to say it, but it sounds a little funny.  But I too know how hard it is to loose a pet.  We had to put our kitty to sleep.  He was more human than any cat I've even known, and we'd had him since before I was born.  I miss him dreadfully.  We buried him under our big bird house, a place he would have loved to attack in his younger, more energetic days.  I miss him so much.

Lavy, how is Lou?

Oh, this is horrible lavendershy! I have a dog, so I understand how attached you get to pets. This is terrible. I feel bad for you. :(

Not to sound insenstive or anything, but I like that you used my name for the anti-spam thing. Andy rocks! And yes, he does need to learn to spell.

Speaking of Andy, he says apnm. Hm.

Thank you all, and *duh-duh-du-du!* miracle hammy just wouldn't die and is fine again. *headdesk* Seriously, though, she was cold and stiff and couldn't open her eyes on Saturday, and now she's alive and wriggly and ever-so-faintly-squeaky again. She is one weird little beastie. Lou. . . . *more headdesks*

Oh I'm so happy that she's better and so is everybuggy else!

so cool tht she's better lav. Hope there aren't any more scares. I had a hamster once, also a miracle hamster. Escaped from his cage six times- once he lost in eyes but it didn't get infected or anything...

Aww, I'm so sorry!  I know how you feel, though, because of my own gerbils and my sweety parakeet.  That's what my gerbil Pepsi acted like before he died. :( But he lived a long time, too, so it's good to know our pets had good long lives.  Maybe they'll be friends in heaven, so when we eventually get there, we can meet each other. :) But still, maybe he'll be okay!  We'll pray for him!

So weird! My friend's hamster (sp?) has done that same thing twice now, but she's really young . . . Hmmm. Weird!!
