Has anyone seen any good movies recently??

Also, has anyone here seen the movie The Point?  It's a movie from like the 60's or something-it's a cartoon thing.  It's sooo good.

THE BLIND SIDE, The Last Song, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings, 17 Again, Mama Mia, Up (I can play the theme song on the piano.  It's so pretty!) Avatar, Bandslam, (which I haven't seen but am going to soon.) and I can't think of anymore.  Some of these are my favorites, others are just.... movies.  :)

@ald: The Jonah movie was so much better than The Pirates That Don't Do Anything, IMHO, though that was good too. I heart Khalil. I have the Jonah soundtrack on my computer. I love the song Message from the Lord, and Jonah was a Prophet, and It Cannot Be. And In the Belly of the Whale, because the Newsboys are awesome. "Woke up this morning kind of blue / thinkin' through that age-old question: / how to exit a whale's digestion?"

Anything Pixar

You've Got Mail (rather a lot of language in it - I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. I just like it. And it's so quoteable!)

Pride and Prejudice, Kierra Knightly version.

Erm. Yeah. That's about it. Oh, How To Train Your Dragon was far above Dreamwork's usual potty-humor-lameness. As was KFP. And I'm going to see Babies today, which I suspect will make it on here.

@ lav-I *love* the new Pride and Prejudice!! And I also though You've Got Mail was really good, although I agree about the bad parts. Please tell me how Babies is; I want to see it. I also really want to see the new Disney movie Prince of Persia. It's looks like it has lame actors and a stupid plot, but hey, cheesy movies are sometimes the best. I originally wanted to see Robin Hood, but my mom was kind of eeshy about it, so I switched to PoP.

Well, MJ, my mouth hurt rather badly after Babies cause you can't grin for an hour and a half without side effects. There was some maternal nudity (like breastfeeding), but those little dudes. . . . *squee* *head implosion*

Yeah. Yeahyeahyeahyeahyeah.

THE PRINCESS BRIDE!!!!!  Yeah, just to get that out of my system.

If I were to see Prince of Persia the only reason I would see it is: the guy does real stunts (most of them).  And Robin Hood: I would love to see that.  The last thing I saw at the theatre was Alice in Wonderland, and I LOVED it.  I didn't get to see it in 3-D though...  the closest place to us playing 3-D was Chicago.  But, because we watched it late (in late April), my Dad, Autumn and I were the only ones watching it.  Literally.  Only ones.  Three people.  Voila.

@ Medd, I LOVED Alice In Wonderland.  My mom said she didn't like it 'cuz it was too crazy, but then I kept saying how good it was and she finally agreed.

My all time favorite movie (best I've ever seen) is by far Push.  I watched it at my beach house in the summer with Tiffany and all my other cousins too.  It has some language therefore I wouldn't watch unless you're like 12 'cuz it's scary too.  (I watched it at 11 and I didn't think it was scary but my twin cousins who are the same age were crying and hiding at some points)

Hmm... well I like You've Got Mail, How to Train Your Dragon was pretty good, but the kid behind me @ the movie theater was like screaming random things the whole time so..., Ice Castles, umm.., oh yeah, Avatar of course, that was super good, i saw it in IMAX 3D, 27 Dresses, the Harry Potter movies were pretty good, although i do like the books a ton more. I really want to see The Blind Side....,Whip It, The Invention of Lying, and a bunch of others I can't think of right now. Some of these movies are probably kinda inappropriate, but still super good.   Later, _girlpower14_

I want to see PoP and Iron Man 2, but here in India (I'm not indian, my dad just works here) all the movies come late, for example, i really want to see Alice in Wonderland, but it's still not out here (isn't that crazy?!).

Here's a movie that you really DON'T want to see: Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Barf, Gag and Puke is how I discribe it. I mean really, you do NOT want to see it.
