I am done

I am done with school for the summer!!!!!!! I finished last Friday!!! I am so HAPPY!!! I have had the most enjoyable first few days of summer. I got to see Iron Man 2 last night and I'm loving sleeping in on weekdays. The public schools here in Georgia start at the very beginning of August and finish in late May. I started in August too, even though I'm homeschooled, and it TOTALLY paid off, because now school's not prolonged till mid-June. So, when do you finish?

Wow, Mary Jo!  You are one lucky duck!  How was Iron Man 2?  My friend, actually Ally for that matter, has been saying good things about it only because of Robert Downey Jr.  And oooh, sleeping in.  A luxury I wish I could have more often!

I'm not sure I would like the whole beginning in August thing, but if I got out in May, it wouldn't be so bad.  I start in late August (August 26, to be specific) and end on June 9.  I have finals that week, and would have had my period 7 final on Thursday, but since I don't have a PE final, we take our per. 7 final on Tuesday.  Sounds complicated, but it isn't really.

I'm so excited that school's almost over!!!  Unfortunately, my teachers have decided that - even though we are tired from a school year - they should pile us with projects and homework and tests until the very last week.  *sigh*  And if I could just skip finals, and be out for summer a week earlier... *wistful thinking* *reluctantly comes back to the task at hand*

I guess I should go off to do more homework. :(

I apologize for sending your thread to the bottom, Mary Jo.  To the top, thread!!  Immediately!  I don't want you to move to the middle and slowly get to the top.  That is just not acceptable.  So, to the top I say! ;)

Wow, that thread seriously did not listen.  Again, I'm sorry Mary Jo.  All threads deserve a chance to go to the top and this thread seems to be very ornery.

I have two chapters each of chemistry and history that I didn't get done before our vacation; I'm hoping to finish those this week. Then comes summer!

And it snowed this week, just to remind me that it's not summer till I get everything done. *eyeroll*

Anywho. Yeah. And Such Like.

I got "done" about two weeks ago, but to be half a year ahead for the coming school year I am having to do history and literature throughout the summer. Ick. If it was just literature, I wouldn't mind, but both...yeah.

We've had amazing weather here recently, so it's been nice to have (almost) no school. We even had church outside today, it was so beautiful.

@ Lav: It snowed? In May?! Wow. Here that's just unthinkable. Insane. And it's about 100 degrees. :P

Anyway, my last day is Wednesday, but I don't have school Monday—er, today, that is—because of Memorial Day.

Yeah. . . . I know . . . All our tomatoes froze, and a bunch of our flowers. :P Looks like the weather will be nice now, though.

My last day of school was today. Yay! Now I can read The Iliad and The Silmarillion and The Odyssey and all those other books that I don't have time for during the school year! Not to mention possessing the privilege of sleeping in. ;)
