Threaditis.

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Threaditis.

Threaditis.

Does anyone know about or have this disease?

I do. It all started with my first Round Robin- something about water fights, bullies, and mice. Before long, I was making all kinds of threads. I joined things I didn't think I would join- like an S.I. or the World Domination thread. I began making posts for no apparent reason;  I started threads about statistics, randomness, thread revival, and virtual banks.

And now this?!?

Threaditis is when you start making a lot of threads.  Some symptoms are:

*Posting in places you wouldn't normally post

* Pushing threads to the top

* Making lots of random threads

* Using smilies more often

* Participating in the following:

Roleplays

S.I.s

World Domination

Other

Luckily, this is not deadly. It will not ruin your life. It just means you're loving the Chatterbox more and more- a reason to celebrate!!!

I wish I had this, but I doubt it. I'm certainly addicted to the CB, but 'Threaditis' isn't the word for  my condition at all. If those are the symptoms, I'm guilty of the following:

*Posting in places you wouldn't normally post: Oh, definitely!

* Pushing threads to the top: Not really...

* Making lots of random threads: No. Unfortunately, I don't get ideas often.

* Using smilies more often: Well, before joining, I had never been on any sort of online forum or place that one could use smileys in, so it's definitely safe to say I use more than I did before. That isn't saying much, though.

* Participating in the following:

Roleplays: Some...

S.I.s: Yes, as most of you know by now...

World Domination: That depends. Does prevention count as participation? ;)

Other: Erm... Reading this thread? And reading books you wouldn't normally read, because someone said it was good? And having opinions change probably at least partly due to the influence of CBers? And signing up for month-long novel-writing programs you hadn't heard of and probably wouldn't have participated in anyway before starting CB? And participating in RRs (not that I do much of that anymore... But I may start soon!)? And having odd, CB-related dreams? And knowing what a thread is? And what 'BTW' means? And... You get the point.

Okay, I don't have this (it just wouldn't make sense, as I never make threads), but I have something.

We need to make a disease for people addicted to chatterbox, not just making threads and stuff.  Does anybuggy have any ideas??
