CREATURES YOU HAVE

CREATURES YOU HAVE SEEN.

Exciting, boring, big, small, ???color???, and more, you can explain- it's online nature!

I saw a weird kind of dragonfly thing, i'm still not sure exactly what it was... it had wings like a dragonfly and it was shiny and when in the sunlight it shone different colors like oil and its body was like a beetle's. Isn't that weird?!?

Anyway, have YOU seen any weird or cool or anything animals? Tell me!

Have fun describing them in tiny detail or hardly any ppl, UR CHOICE FYI...

Good luck!

Ooh, yay! You couldn't have picked a better time to make this thread, so thanks.

I saw a gecko outside today. It was green, and tiny. Due to the huge number of tiny lizards we've seen lately (one got into our house), and the mysterious egg we found (far too small to be a bird's but certainly not that of an invertebrate or amphibian), we think that this must be around the time of year that their eggs hatch. That means we can see the newly hatched lizards neary every time we go outside, which is wonderful. I love watching tiny creatures breathe... Anyway, this was the smallest we'd seen yet and thoughtit couldn't be more than a few days old, probably. Its tail was long and clearly hadn't been lost yet, and it was as thin as a blade of grass. The tail, I mean, not the lizard. And the eyes kept opening and closing, one at a time. The eyelids were interestingly colored. It was also extremely thin, and it just gave off this aura of... preciousness and vulnerability, which makes sense, I suppose. But yeah. I just sat there staring at it for such a long time it eventually looked at me for a moment. The facial expression was hilarious... I only really ended up going in because I was hungry. Like I said, I just love watching the breathing of tiny things. I don't have the slightest idea why, but I do.

Top! Aetc says phyp. The first thing I thought of when I saw that was Phix. Is that bad?... *has recently acquired a sphinx obsession*

Ooooh, what an awesome idea Rachel :D Hmm, let me think....well, not that it's very exciting, but I found this really bright red ladybug yesterday. It "posed" for some pictures, maybe I'll post some later! :)
