WHAT MAKES YOUR

WHAT MAKES YOUR FAVORITE STATE SO GREAT??

PS sorry that rhymes! :D

So my favorite state is Georgia, where I was born, even though I could strangle them for having slaves!!!! I was only there for two years, but somehow I feel kind of attached to it. I'm not sure why. Anyway, I love peaches and I love peanuts, and they both grow there. Which means... I'm a Georgia Peach AND a Georgia Peanut! :D Does anybody else like Georgia? Right now I live in Wisconsin, and like I said before I was in Georgia until I aged one and a half years old. *bows* Just kidding, people. I mean about the bowing, though.\

So what's YOUR favorite state?\

For everyone who read my comments on the text talk thread, see? I'm trying very hard. Not one bit of text talk in this one! :)

Cool thread Rachel! :) Since my family and I have been to sooo many states, it's really hard to choose a favorite; I think there is something awesome about every state! :) I'll list some of my all-time favorites. I love Vermont because it is REALLY REALLY pretty, and so is Maine. I love IL because so much of my family is there and I love visiting them. I love FL because of the beaches. I could go on & on! :) I have to say though, a state I love a lot is CA-we lived there for 4 years, and I have so many awesome memories there!!! :) By the way, great job Rachel with the text talk! :)

My favorite state is Utah. I went a few years ago and it was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!! We went to a lake called Bear Lake which is on the Utah/Idaho border and is in both states. We also got to see the Rocky Mountains on the way there and we were going to go to Yellowstone, but there were fires:( But anywho.... TOP THREAD THIS IS A REALLY GOOD TOPIC!!!!!!

My favorite state is... Oregon! The mountains and the weather are amazing, plus the coast is pretty close by and we don't get any tornados/hurricanes (where I live anyway). I was actually born in WA, but I only lived there for a couple of months.

Great thread, Rachel, and nice job with the text talk! :)

My favorite state is either New Mexico, South Carolina, or Missouri. I love New Mexico because it is so beautiful and some of my family lives there. I love South Carolina because of the beaches and because of all the wonderful memories. And Missouri just... feels like home. There's really no other way to describe it.

My favorite state is Kentucky. I like it because, I dunno, a lot of our family (most of whom I'd never heard of until only a bit ago) lives there, and I kinda feel home there. There aren't many "newish" buildings around (well, at least in the beautiful country there aren't), and gorgeous forests, and the summers are bearably hot, and the winters are cold with snow. Everybody sorta knows everybody else. The only things that bother me are the chiggers (sort of like ticks) and all the cigarette smoke that makes me get headahces and feel nauseous.

I know Washington D.C isn't a state, but I like it anyway. All the history rocks!

My favorite state is definitely Ohio. I've never lived there before, but, like Hannah, I have family there and when I went to visit last month, I felt so at home. I think I'll live there when I grow up. I do not in any way consider myself a Southerner just because I've lived in Georgia for all but about 3 months of my life. Although, there is no doubt that Georgia beats all when it comes to peaches. :)
