Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Random Rants!

Random Rants!

This is where you can ramble about something, whatever you'd like.  Just to get it out of your system, or tell a story that isn't particularly interesting, but you'd like to tell it anyway.  Or you could tell a very interesting story.  You can just write random stuff.  For example:

I was accused by an eight-year-old for making my sister have our characters married in the story she was writing.  Yep.  I definitely asked my sister  to have my character marry to an eight-year-olds charrie.  He probably just assumed that, since all the five/six year old girls I know want to marry him.  Including my 5 yr. old sister, Luna.  :)  It's really quite hilarious...

I have recently been asked, "Are you a girl, or a boy?" by someone I have known for four years, his whole life...  My answer was girl.  Because I am one.

And the olives...  Haha.  The Olive Conversation...

Crazy randomness:

*stumbles into view*  Oh, hello!  I KNOW you!  It's nice, knowing you.  *waves, but misses the air and hits her own face*  *falls over*  *looks up*  Hi!  I KNOW you!  Theres a chicken!  With wings!  It's flying!  *tries to fly, but fails*   Ugh.  *falls to ground*  I'm tired.  *sleeps*

So...  Yes.  This is pretty much a randomness thread, where you write random stuff you just want to get out.  I have a lot of random stuff I just want to get out, so here it is.  Post, people, post!

Yes, I'm a girl. But as Brynne said, please don't feel stupid. I've also thought people were boys when they weren't, many times, though that was much more often I year or so ago than now... Ima isn't my actual name, either, and I don't even like it, (er, not that that has anyhing to do with this. Oh well.), actually, but I've definitely changed from when I first came, and I'd probably change it if I could, but I never really felt like bothering to think of anything, and Katie is already used, even if she doesn't really post often anymore... Why or how I ever started talking about this,I have no idea.

Anyway, Medd, I forgot to tell you, but unfortunately I'm not allowed to give out my e-mail address--though, come to think of it, we could probably just use NaNo mail or JulNo's U2U thing the same way...

I would prefer to use NaNo, because we are limited to a cirtain amount of U2Us on JulNo.  So when wither of us get to it we can send 'NaNomail'.  :)  And I probably seemed stalkerish asking for your email...

Okay, can I have advice?

I have some super immature annoying people on my bus, and they drive me crazy.  Any way for me to get them to stop?  Besides ignoring?

Seriously, my bus driver has to tell them to not make obscene gestures at one another.

Anyhoo, I have to do a language arts essay, and I'm getting my revenge by writing about the bus.  Even though most of the people on that bus aren't in my language arts class.  I'll see if I have a chance to read it aloud. =)

Also, schools and other places say that Americans are too fat.  Then what did you do with recess!?

Also, someone told me that there are going to be no more snow days at my school next year!   What, did they invent a weather machine now?!

Ohhh.... Sooo many rants.

I do suggest ignoring such behavior, but if that doesn't work then report it to whomever you're supposed to report bus problems to or a teacher or principal. I recommend you get skis so you can ski to school on heavy snow days. That's one way to fight obesity! (Not that you are fat)

*snifflesniffle* *sob*  I have a confession to make!!  It's going to haunt me for the rest of my life!!!  When I was the flower girl at my cousin's wedding, I was supposed to hand flowers to the people on my left (I was co-flowergirling, the other girl had the right side), and I gave one to EVERY PERSON EXCEPT ONE GUY!!!!!!!!!!!  And he was HOLDING OUT HIS HAND!!!!!!!!!!  *collapses into hysterical sobs*  AND I FEEL SO BAD!!!!!!!!  And my Dad scolded me!!!!!!!!!  WAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!  I'm sorry *sniffle* but I had to get it out, it's painful.

When I was younger, any little kid that looked my way would grin at me and want to share their toys, but now, when I smile at a little kid, they get scared.  MY TEETH AREN'T ANY WORSE THAN THEY WERE BACK THEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry.... but this is a rant thread, right?

Does anyone own a Perplexus?

(Z.A.R. says: hyfy.  Isn't that something?)

Laura, do you know who the guy you skipped was? You could send him a whole bouquet with a note of apology!

Aw, I wish I did, but I really don't.  I think I would have sent him a car by now if I did.  *heehee*  No, but maybe I can ask my cousin.... although, there were a LOT of people there....  And it was quite a few years ago.  I doubt she even knew about it.  Hmm...

Nuther one.

Ok, I really really don't want to offend anyone, but I need to say this.

In chorus, we are singing some patriotic songs for a Veteran's Day event, and we sing this one song that really makes me upset.

The lyrics go like this:

From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli,

We fight our country's battles, in the air, on land and sea.

First to fight for right and freedom, and to keep our honor clean.

We are proud to claim the title of "United States Marines."

Now, I know that it's not that bad of a song.  But honestly.  Singing, "And to keep our honor clean", when you are talking about killing people, just makes me mad.  I'm singing it, because I need to, but I really don't agree, and it makes me upset.

Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings.  War is a touchy business.  I HATE it.

That's The Marine's Hymn, Laura, the song of the US Marine Corps. We could have a Chatterbox discussion on the lyrics. I wish there weren't any war, but sometimes, unfortunately, in this imperfect world, some people fight to protect the rights of others.

I know.  But if it were just about that, I wouldn't mind, but the thing is, I know they are singing about all types of war.

I don't mind if you use it for a discussion, but I'd rather not participate.  Those discussions always make me too mad at people I really do not want to be mad at.

Thanks Admin!

I doubt that the song means that ALL types of war are honorable. I think the only valid reason for war is to protect other people.

As it says on a thing on the basement wall: 'War is not healthy for children and other living things'.  I agree with it, but some wars do have a good reason, as Admin said, they fight to protect others.  Not that it's good to kill people, they just have a reason that makes sense, unlike some wars.  I myself loath the idea of killing, and am against war.  I think, that instead of killing and bombing and everything, that people should go and have a long debate to decide things.  But the human race does not work that way, sadly.  It would be nice if it did, for it would reduce the amount of bllodlust and war, and increase the amount of friendly (well, not too friendly.  We don't want people to give up right away) and intelligent debates to figure things out.  :)

Olive conversation? *arches eyebrow*

The Olive Conversation wasn't about you.  It was about a can of olives.  I kept asking her *what* that was.  She never really understood...  My mom got confused after I started rambling about olives and how beautiful they were, and how if you eat one you turn into a tree.  I was just reciting a dream I had, she hadn't really caught on that it was a dream.  And so we talked of olives, and then I wondered something (I don't know what...  but it was something about olives!) and said I would look it up, and so I did.  That doesn't sound as funny as it was....

Hi! I don't know if I can even post this in CB, but I'll still write it.

OK, so on the bathroom wall, some dumb kid wrote something very... nasty about my best friend and another friend. I mean, it was REALLY bad. Everyone is blaming it on me, and I'm like, NO WAY! I wouldn't write something about my friends! Still, they say it was me. It makes me really angry. What should I do?

Tell your best friend and the other friend (if they know about it) that it wasn't you. And do the same to anyone else who mentions it.
