KIMMIE?  Has anyone

KIMMIE?  Has anyone seen her in a while?  We miss you, Kimberly!  :)  Who else has been missing?  Laura?  Mary Jo?  Hannah?  Grace?  Koffee?  Cara/Ducky?  I've seen a couple of you, I'd just like to make sure you're still... alive!! :)  So many are leaving randomly.  If you've noticed someone's missing, ask where they are here!!

I haven't noticed any comments from Kimmie, Laura, Koffee, Cara, or Choco lately, but another Admin may have.

I'm still here! :D I'm still alive and kicking! ;) I do not plan on leaving anytime soon-why would I want to? I have too many fantastic buggies here! I have been so busy lately and as a New Year's Resolution, I decided not to go on the internet quite so much... :] Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, I promise that I will come on a whole lot more! :) Soo, have I missed anything? What have you all been up to (you too Admins!)? Any snow where you are? We're in CA at the moment, nice and sunny here! A little chilly at times, but no snow. I plan on posting a lot more often-CB shall never die! :) *hugs everybuggy*

Yes, we've had snow on the ground here in Illinois pretty much all the time since early December. We've done a lot of cross-country skiing . . . and snow shoveling! Today I've been reading Cricket League stories. An icy January day is a great time to go on magical, fantasy adventures. Thanks to everybuggy who sent a story. I know we received one from Meadow, but I haven't read it yet. I'm only up to age eleven right now.I'll be checking the mailbox for more stories again late tomorrow, the contest deadline.

Oh, good, I'm glad you're alive. :)  It's totally fine that you've limited your time on the internet, I think most of us have!  Hm, nothing much has been going on with me. Hey, have you been watching the Next Great Baker?  (Cake Boss)?  I remember you saying you liked that show, and that you went to their bakery.  The finale was last night!  :)

And who is everyone cheering for in the Super Bowl??  I think I'm cheering for the Steelers, although I do like Green Bay... but since Brett Favre left, it's not the same.

@R~D~: Yes, I'm glad I'm alive too. ;) I agree, it seems like quite a few people have limited their internet time lately-it's a good thing since it gives you more free time, but not such a good thing when you love going on really great social networking sites... :[:] No, I've wanted to watch Next Great Baker, but for some reason I didn't get the chance to-how about you? Cake Boss is a pretty awesome show, the bakery was so cool! I'm not that "in" to football, so I don't really know who I'm rooting for...I'll probably still watch it anyway. :)

Ha, ha, ha, Spamboy Andy says rdrg! He's talking to you R~D~! ;)

It's so good to hear from you, Kimmie!  Well, there's no snow where I am either (which just also happens to be in CA). :D  Just out of curiosity, where are you in CA?  It would be awesome if you were in southern CA, where I am....

Anyway, nothing really new here.  Second semester in school just started, so work hasn't piled up too much yet.  I've been practicing violin and piano a lot and working with my guide dog.  Just when we though she was getting better, she chewed up a Christmas card.  She then chewed up a bunch of other papers.  I only hope she's going into heat and afterwards she'll be fine again...  Oh yes, and I've practicing singing for my Carnegie Hall trip with my choir (never fear, I will post a thread about this soon).  But the weather has been soo nice here in sunny southern California!  Right now, it's 72 and the sun is out and, heehee, where my friends live in New Hampshire, it's 10 degrees!

So, it's great to see you here, Kimmie!  Can't wait to see more of you around!

@Leaf: I am in fact in Southern CA! :D Now I'm all excited that we're in the same area...I sent you a NaNo message so check your inbox! :) I forgot that you played the violin! Is it hard to play? I would love to learn it someday. Isn't music fantastic? :) It is so, so, so, so cool that you train seeing eye dogs! It must be really hard after their trained since you have to give them away. :[ What a great experience though! I hope your dog stops her chewing, I know how awful it is when dogs (especially large dogs) get their teeth on stuff. ;) I'm so happy to be back on CB! :)

Yes Admin, I hear that it's pretty chilly over there! Skiing is so much fun! Snow shoveling, not so much... ;) It must be really, really cool reading contest entries from the buggies, I know that I would enjoy it! :)

Yes, reading contest stories is fun. I am continually amazed at the creativity of the entries we receive for each contest.

Hey Kimmie, I knew you didn't leave :D. What part of California are you in, maybe you'll drive near Ventura County, you never know! Nothing much has been happening in the crazy world that is mine, though I did have mid-terms today, English and Math, and tomorrow I have History & Science, Friday Music, and Monday next Spanish. Woohoo. I'm so excited for Mid-Terms. They're just so amazing. Hoorah. *sarcasm except for History <3* The only other abnormal thing that happened is that my Grandma passed last Monday, taken away by Liver Cancer, Colin Cancer, 2 cracked ribs, 2 teeny weeny strokes, Diabetes, Kidney failure, (or was it liver failer, I think it was liver. Admins, what organ is it that stops working, causing diabetes?) and I think she had a cold. We had a memorial service for her last Saturday. And I think that I'm kinda sick too. But enough about me.

I don't know who I'm rootin' for, I'more of a college sports kinda gal, but I'd prefer sitting and reading/studing than playing soccer or football or any sport, really.

ZB, we're so sorry about you grandmother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I'm not sure about the cause of diabetes. I think there may be many contributing factors.

@ZB: Wait, you're in Ventura County?  No way!!  We could have seen each other before or something!  That's crazy!!!  I knew you lived in CA, but not Ventura County... wow!!!  May I ask where in the county?  There's no need to answer if you don't feel comfortable.  I actually should probably not be disclosing a ton about where I live either, but it's so cool that a fellow CB-er is in in Ventura County!

Oh, and good luck on those Midterms!  I just finished mine and I'm so glad they're over. :)  And I'm very sorry to hear about your grandmother.  Know that my thoughts are with you and your family.
