HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S

HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!

Does anyone else celebrate his feast day? We celebrate by having corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes. I usually listen to a story about him again.

I had delicious Irish bread, corn beef with potatoes, carrots, and onions. I'm more that a quarter Irish, so we celebrate a lot.

I am part Irish though I don't know how much. What kind of Irish bread did you have?

Happy Saint Patrick's Day! We didn't do much but we always celebrate it. I'm 1/4 Irish or something like that. :)

I'm a little bit Irish (it seems a lot of people are!) but not sure the actual percentage. Most of my family were sick on St. Patty's day, and of course my dad was.  He's the cook, and he normally makes corned beef with cabbage, but we didn't get it this year... stupid sickness!!!  But we've never had any traditions or do anything special.  My friend used to wake up and mysterious have her nails painted green or weird things like that. :)  It was pretty funny when I saw her with only one hand painted green.... :D

Doesn't the saying go that on St. Patrick's Day everyone is Irish?

I wore black and gray and ate pork chops and broccoli. :P I'm a wee bit Irish, 'cause some distant cousin or uncle of mine back in the 1800's was Irish. Something like that.

I ate homemade corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, Irish soda bread, and pumpernickel with strawberries. We ate some Irish chocolates today! I tried lemon. It was really good! Last night we saw Irish dancers at our downtown outdoor stage. I wish I could do Irish dancing! I'm partly Irish on both sides of my family.

Erin go bragh!!!

(Ireland forever!!!)

Peacing out for now,

No, not reallly. We do do the tradition of wearing green and pinching anyone who is not.

About and hour away, in San Antonio, they dye the river green! Cool!

Oh and Elizabeth D, what part of Texas do you live in? I live 30 minutes from Austin. Lockhart.

We had beef brisket (which is like corned beef), but no cabbage. My siblings and I are a whole quarter (!) Irish, :) and we did wear green.

We ate burritos for lunch and watched American Idol. :P

Yeah, we don't really celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Oh, but I do love corned beef and potatoes! (and about everyone being Irish, I'm definitely far from it, I'm pretty sure) :)

We didn't actually do anything special this year :( but I'm over a quarter Irish.  Actually, I would've completely forgotten about it unless I had seen stuff on facebook, and then I would've felt extremely guilty about dishonoring my heritage.

I completely forgot about this!  Ahhhh, an excuse to wear green and sparkles and such... although i am not irish so maybe that would have been weird...

I always wondered, you know those shirts that say "kiss me, I'm Irish!"?  Do people actually do that?  is it a tradition or something (please forgive me for being so totally ignorant)?
