Disneyland?  What's all

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Disneyland?  What's all

Disneyland?  What's all the fuss about Disneyland?  Everyone else seems to think it's the garden of Eden.  Please enlighten me on this!

I've never been to Disneyland, but I've been to Disneyworld twice.  I don't really remember that much about it though, I was pretty young.  I do remember that it was awesomely fun!  But if I could choose, I'd definitely pick Cedar Point over Disneyworld.  Cedar Point is my garden of Eden. :) haha, no I'm kidding, it's just really fun!

Do you go on those huge roller coasters, R~D~? I think Cedar Point is known for them.

@Admin: Yes, it is known for them! Oh, and you bet I did!  When I rode on the Dragster, it was either the tallest (and fastest) or second tallest (and fastest) roller coaster in the world! :)  It was extremely thrilling!  The Millennium waqs my favorite though.  It was also one of the tallest.

I'll stand on the ground and watch you go (and listen to the screams)!

Disneyland, Disneyworld, whatever the difference is... :P

So is it just a ton of rollercoasters?  That's what it sounds like.

Cedar Point is known for its roller coasters, but it's a full amusement park with lots of other rides, too.

Disneyland is in California and Disneyworld is in Florida. There are lots of rides, but also shows, exhibits, recreation. I'm sure you can learn more via internet or TV.

Admin described Cedar Point pretty well.  It's a ton of rides, restaurants, vendors, shows, arcade games, and all sorts of fun stuff.  A great place.

Well, I'm pretty sure that Disneyland doesn't have Epcot or all the exhibits and kingdoms that Disneyworld has.  It's a smaller version, I'm pretty sure.  So if you're choosing between one... Disneyworld!!  :)

Also, Cedar Point is on Lake Erie, so there are really pretty views from the rides.

Oh oh oh, I went to Cedar Point for the first time last summer!! Four words. Best. Amusement. Park. Ever. How 'bout the Dragster? Boy, we waited in line for something like 2 hours. I have never gone so fast in my life. As soon as that thing took off, I thought, "Why am I doing this??!! Why am I doing this??!!" I loved Gemini and the Millenium.

MARY JOOOOOO! AHHHHHHHHHHH! Finally someone I can talk to about this... obssession with Cedar Point!  Isn't it just amazing?  We lived on Lake Erie, so we were super close and would get season passes. Millenium is definitely the best.  I also liked Max Air and the Wicked Twister. :P  I loved the thrill of the Dragster!  I really wanted to raise my arms but I heard someone had theirs torn right off, which I'm guessing was a false rumor... but it still scared me. :D I would keep my hands up the whole time on the Millenium. :)  Soo many memories there for me.  I mean, the Iron Dragon was my first roller coaster ride. I want to go there again. :(

Sorry this turned into a Cedar Point conversation.....

I've never heard of Cedar Point before, I think, but it looks fun. (Actually I have heard of it, I just didn't pay much attention.)

Anyways, the difference between Disneyworld and Disneyland is, as the Admin said, Disneyworld's in Florida and Disneyland's in California. Also, Disneyworld is bigger (I think) and has hotel-place-things like the Animal Kingdom (I think that's what it's called) while Disneyland doesn't, I think. But Disney Land's still fun. (From what I can remember from when I was eight.)

Now my Garden of Eden would have to be Canada's Wonderland for reasons obvious. It's an hour away but probably the closest thrill park to my house. But if I went to Florida, my Garden of Eden would probably be the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. (They have Butterbeer!!!!! And Hogwarts Castle!!!!!!)

"Garden of Eden" reminds me of the amusement park we visited in Naples, Italy, called Edenlandia! People all over the world love to have fun!

Disneyland! My family and I have a Disneyland OBSESION! I've been on like every single ride there, been there tons of times, and can't get enough! :D It just so magical! I feel like a little kid there! It just seems so happy and fun, and you're just transported into this crazy amazing world of imagination! I'm sounding ridiculously cheesey, but it's true! They don't have many really extreme roller coasters (California Screamin' is their best roller coaster I think), but there's tons of super-fun rides that aren't nessisarily scary or fast, but they're just magical! For example, the Peter Pan ride. You ride in a pirate ship attatched to a track above your head and you soar over Neverland! The ride has stars everywhere and it's completely dark except for starts and light from the scenery. It isn't fast, it's very slow and little-kiddish, but it's on of my favorites because it takes you to a whole other land. I guess that's why Disneyland it so incredible, it completely immerses you in a care-free fairytale. I LOVE it!!
