Yeah, what's everbuggys plans?  We're going to a neighbor's house for dinner, then heading to a different neighbor's house for dessert and fireworks!  I'm excited!  Does anyone's dog freak out at fireworks?  We have to put my dog in our tiny laundry room, close the door, and start the fan... she's such a chicken!  :)

I know that we will be going to a parade at 10 a.m. Then we will hang out, watch the fireworks, and catch fireflies!

I really, really, really miss the fourth of July! We don't have it here and I always had so much fun at the parade, grilling and fireworks. I wish we had that here... :( I don't have much planned, actually, though, we got very nice weather today!

@Robyn D.- My dog freaks out, too. We once took him to the fireworks and he wouldn't stop barking. Well, then we put a picnic blanket on his head, turned him around (away from the fireworks) and cuddled up to him and he stopped. I guess the look must have bothered him more than the sound. He's a born chicken! :)

That must stink, Elizabeth.  What holiday/celebration does Germany use fireworks for?  I ate so much dessert last night, I almost threw up! :) haha, not really---- I just had a ton of sweet treats! ;D

My dog used to cower under the dining table whenever he heard fireworks. I am not sure if he still does since we didn't take him to see the fireworks.

Happy Independence Day!!!!!!

I meant to do that yesterday but never got the chance. I actually got up pretty late yesterday and then later we had a sort of party; half for my sister's fiance's birthday (It's on July 4th) and half for Independence Day. And then awhile after that we went to some friends of ours neighborhood to watch fireworks. I really missed not setting off any of our own. We couldn't because of the drought.

I was in a parade, then I went over to my cousins' house like I do every year.  It was raining in the evening, so we were swimming in the pool during the day and between rainstorms in the evening. I only like fireworks if they are in the right setting (theme parks, ponds, fields, t.v., out a window) so I was kind of going inside and outside when my uncle set off the fireworks.

@Robyn D.- From what I know, only on New Year's. They set them off from the street or yard. We just did the little fire crackers and a few small explosions this year. Next year we'll get more into the big time.
