Harry Potter and

Harry Potter and

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2: The Movie

I desperately need to come here to vent some of what I'm feeling right now. I'm so excited. Beyond excited. I cannot believe Harry Potter is officially coming to an end. This is going to be epic. Epic epic epic. I cannot wait. I wasn't that excited until last weekend when I had this weird dream that the premier was canceled, so when I woke up, I realized, "It's real. I'm going to see it." I'll be out of town with my cousins, so we're seeing the midnight premier together. I'm so incredibly pumped, I can't even put it into words. My family is starting to get sick of me going around the house saying, "I'm so excited. I'm SO excited." So, who's with me?

You sound like my friend.  She keeps track of the exact day, hour, and minute until the premiere... and announces it every couple minutes or so.  I am definitely not with you, but I wish you a wonderful time and I hope you aren't disappointed. ;D

I feel so happy and excited one moment because we're all finally going to be able to see how it ends, but then I feel sad the next because it's all going to be over. I mean, when the last book came out, I didn't have such mixed emotions about it because I knew that it wasn't the end end of Harry Potter- there were going to be more movies coming out. But now that all the books are finished, this is really it! I'm going to cry when I see it! So badly. Emma Watson said in a recent interview that she thinks why fans are so emotional about it, too, is because it's been a part of their lives for so long as well, which is totally true for me. The actors say that it's been a part of their lives for more than half of it. I've been a fan for about nine years, and I was about seven then, so it's also been a part of my life for more than half of it. But I am so psyched because I'm seeing it tomorrow!!!

($25 million tickets have already been pre-sold!)

My friends were obsessing about the movie today, since they're all going to the midnight premiere.  It got so bad that we did an improv exercize centered around Harry Potter at camp.

I am so excited. I know it's more dramatic and so than the others, but oh my gosh! :-) My sister wants to see it, but she hasn't read the seventh book and I said that would spoil the ending, but she still wants to go... AHHHH!! IT'S HERE!!

I love Harry Potter!
I have the book series and I've read them almost twice. I can't wait to see the second half of the last movie.

For those of you have already seen the movie, do you recommend the 3D version or the regular version? Both are playing here now. I normally wear glasses, so how would that work with 3D?

I saw the movie two days ago I didn't really enjoy it. It may just be me, but it didn't seem very engaging.

To answer your question Admin, it isn't really any better in 3-D. I would just go to the regular version.  Don't let my comments discourage you from going. I just don't like movies based on books.

Thanks, Lizzy. I'll just look at it as a movie. Movies based upon books often don't live up to one's expectations. A couple others have recommended 3D. So we'll see.

@Admin: I haven't seen HP8 yet, but I have glasses and when I go to 3D movies, I just put the 3D glasses on top of my normal ones. :)

Thanks, Olive. I think I'll give that a try.

I saw it a few days ago with one of my friends. She has never read the books or seen the rest of the movies, so basically I spent the whole movie explaining things to her and getting glared at from the rest of the theater. I need new friends. -_- It was pretty epic, though. I personally didn't think the 3D made a big difference for the majority of the movie. As 3D glasses are now basically jut sunglasses, at times times it was too dark to see the movie. Plus, if you touch the lenses, they get all blurry, and it's hard to see the movie. Not to mention, it gives you a headache. Yeah, so no. :P At times it was pretty awesome, though. Like when Voldemort dies, it's like, "Ooh, I can almost touch the pieces of his flesh flying towards my face!" The ending was kind of…meh, though. I mean, really. They could have gotten different actors to play the older version of themselves, instead of just using the same actors, but with farther back hairlines. :/
