Amusement parks!

Amusement parks!

So I just came back from Canada's Wonderland a few hours ago and I still feel like I'm going on the Riptide ride. And the Riptide spins. *sigh*

So does anyone here like going to amusement parks? I love going to them, but I only go to Canada's Wonderland once a year and... that's mostly it. If you don't count a fair I go to once a year as well which only has those small rides that I'm probably too big for... And has anyone here ever been on a standing up ride? I went on one, Skyrider, for the first time today. It hurt my head. :P

I went to Disneyland (in California, not Florida) a few times when I was little, and I remember going down a waterfall at 90 degrees on a log-thing ride (Ugh, I'm so dizzy) but that (and Universal Studios California, if that counts) is the only American amusement park I've been to.

Anyways, does anyone here have any favourite parks and/or rides? And no, I didn't go on the Behemoth; my cousin and I were too scared, but we braved up by the end of the day but by then, we were tired and nauseous (from the Orbiter, a ride that spins superfast). We're going on the Behemoth next year though. :)

(And for those of you who don't know, the Behemoth is the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Canada, I think. But it's no longer tallest because of the Windseeker which is 30 stories tall.)

Uh... favorite parks... I'm pretty sure I've bruoght this up before... CEDAR POINT!!!!!!!!! :D:D  Ultimate amusement park.  When I went on the Dragster there, it was either the tallest or second tallest in the WORLD. I'm not sure where it stands now, but it's a record breaker!  But a stupid ride.  It's only 17 (or a very small number) seconds long.  Straight up.  Straight down.

@R~D~: Only 17 seconds long? Really? That's short, especially if you consider going up. *googles Cedar Point and Dragster* *widens eyes* There's a Windseeker too! And Orbiter (from Wonderland) looks exactly like Witch's Wheel except they're different colours!

I just watched a short video of going on the Dragster. It looks AWESOME! And a lot of Wonderland rides are similar to some from Cedar Point. :)

I went to Dineyland Paris when I was seven, and I really liked the Thunder Mountain roller coaster on the New Frontier. I've gone Park Asterix in France a couple of times, and last summer I went on Icaruses Ride, and it was AWESOME. I also went to Legoland when I was little, and I think we're going again this year. In America I went to Six Flags Great America, but I was only 8 so I only went on two coasters, Demon ( I liked the corkskrew at the end) and Great American Eagle (that was kind of scary for me).

I went to Disneyland! My favorite rides were Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, and Grizzly River Run. I think that might have been the "log-thing ride" you were talking about... or not. We didn't go on a lot of the rides, especially the scarier ones because my mom's really the only one who likes that kind of thing. Like California Screamin' or the Tower of Terror. Really, the name says it all!

I've also been to an amusement park called Bonfante Gardens, although they changed the name to Gilroy Gardens recently for some stupid reason. It's not that popular or well-known. Most of the park is themed after the nature and stuff in California, so there's a roller-coaster that looks like a rattlesnake, and a totally awesome swinging ride... shaped like a banana! There are also a bunch of gardens, including one that you go through on a boat, and these crazy-shaped "Circus Trees" hidden throughout the park. I think that's pretty much all of the amusement parks I've been to. I really want to go to Great America soon, because it's less than 30 minutes away from my house but I've still never been there! Hopefully I'll get a chance to go this summer.

Agreed. Cedar Point is the awesomest amusement park. I went there for the first time last year and stood forEVER in line for the Dragster. As soon as it took off, I though OMIGOSH-WHAT-AM-I-DOING??!! I also liked the Gemini, the Wicked Twister, the Power Tower, and the Mantis.

I think I like Disney World the best. I went a few years ago and I think my favorite ride was the.... Bother I forgot the name. Well one of favorites (Not the one I forgot the name of) was Expedition Everest. I rode it three or four times while I was there. Probably one of the reasons I like it was because it didn't go upside down. I have never been on a roller coaster yet that went upside down. This one did go backwards but I found that that really didn't bother me. I also loved the ride where you go round in a teacup and you can spin it as fast as you can turn the wheel.

I personally like Storyland and Santa's Village in the White Mounatains of NH.  Storyland is themed to fairy tales, but has a really fun flume and raft ride.  Santa's Village is a theme park themed to Christmas.

I've also gone to Hershey Park, which is so fun.  I loved the Lightning Racers ride.  We had a two-day pass and I went on it five times.  It's got thrill rides, kidde rides, and, at the next door Chocolate World, a ride that shows you how chocolate was made.  CHOCOLATEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Really soon, I'm going to Disney World for the first time.  You all know me so you know what this means *screams* paradise!!!  Since I love roller coasters, and we're going to DHS first, the first ride I am going on at Disney World is the Rockin' Roller Coaster.  OH, yeah.  (BTW, since we won't have internet there, while we are gone, Blu and I won't be able to post.)

I'm so happy for you, Analesia, that you're finally going to your dream destination. Have a great time!
