I GOT A

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

I GOT A

I GOT A CELLPHONE!

It's my mom's old LG flip thing and it's one of those phones with actual numbers on the keys. A rare thing nowadays. ;)

Anyways, it's for emergencies only and has just 25 minutes and no text on it but whatever. It's pretty and I like the wallpapers. :P

I know someone made a whole quiz on cellphones, but I don't want to revive it, as I don't even know where it is. So, do you guys have phones? If you do, what are they like? Mine's black. :)

I have a cellphone, which I share with my  sister.  It's black, small, and pretty new.  It's also made by Verizon.  I can't really tell you much more about it...

I have a cell phone, it's just a boring Nokia though. I use it just to call my parents if something happens. Well, actually I got it last year because I was going to be riding the bus to school. But now I don't have to ride the bus, YAY!!

I got a cellphone in fifth grade; for emergency use only. It has texting and calling. It's red and black. right now the wallpaper is beachish... I really don't use it often. That's why the battery's dead and lying some where in my purse. :) I'd much rather have my own laptop (I kind of destroyed the other one...*Guilt*). I'm actually maybe wanting an ipad, but I first need to know if you can get a writing program on it. Kind of like word, but maybe not as splendid? If I ever got another phone I'd like an iPhone. The keypad on those seem to actually like me... :)

@EM

I think you can get something like that for the iPad, but it costs lots of money.

@Elizabeth: My mom has an iPad (she recently got jaw surgury and couldn't talk for a few months, so she would type on that to tell my dad and I things) and she uses Pages.  It works pretty well!

I have a phone!  It's a pretty deep blue flip phone that is actually a GoPhone, not a normal phone.  That means that you put money in an account and as you make phone calls and text (something I'm not really allowed to do unless it's necessary), money comes out of the account.  No plan or anything.  My wallpaper is my third guide dog puppy and he always makes me smile when I turn on my phone.  It's kinda funny, though, because I seriously think I'm the only one of my friends with an old-style flip phone.  I don't really see why getting new, cool phones are so exciting - there's really only so much that you can do with a phone.  But that's just my opinion.  I'd rather be reading or on here talking to you guys that playing with my phone! :)

You're right,Leaf. Chatterboxing and reading is much more interesting! :) And, Pages is like Word?

Yeah, it's a word processing program that is very similar to Word.  I haven't used it myself, except for the demo on my computer, but I liked it well enough and my mom does as well.

I have the same cell phone as about half of the other girls in my grade... seriously. It's a blue Pantech (the others are green) that's kind of roundish on the corners and sort of big, it slides sideways and has a QWERTY keyboard, and it's got a touchscreen. Pretty cool. :) I was so excited when my dad told me I could finally get a phone last year, I was jumping up and down with excitement. I actually don't call people that much, I usually text them. What are iPhones like? Are they as good as computers?

P.S. Spammy says "kfct". KFC time. I'll bet he's hungry. :)

Cool! I have a Verizon/Microsoft phone, it slides sideways to reveal the key board and it's a touch screen. It's pretty much just a basic text/call phone, but I like it. It's black, but there's this skin place for phones and computers, so I'm going to get a Greek flag skin and put it on there, so soon it's going to be blue and white. :D :D. It's called a Kin, if anyone's heard of it.

@Alexandra- I personally like iPhones much better than "normal" cell phones. The keys are much easier and faster to work with; the screen is really clear; internet connection is almost always perfect and there're all these nifty gadgets you can get. I have to say though, that computers are better (for me at least) because I can type much more quickly on the keyboard, you CANNOT get Powerpoint, iPhoto, iMovie, Photo Booth, Word, Garage Band (etc) on an iPhone. I could be wrong, though. As Leaf said. There're certain Apps that replace (for example) Word and Pages. But you can still do much more on Word...

re: iPhones: My parents both have an iPhone 3 and imo they're okay. I don't really like the keyboard though- auto-correct is so annoying. The internet is pretty good and there's pretty much an app for anything, but the (generally good) apps cost money and iPhones are more expensive than regular phones I think? Anyways, they're okay, but Apple keeps coming out with a new phone in a year or so so... but that's just my opinion. ;)

@E.M.: I'll assume you have a Mac (iPhoto, iMovie). Lucky duck. :D
