Feed My Starving

Feed My Starving Children.

Hi! I went to Feed My Starving Children today!!! YAY! It was great! There're a couple of them located in the Twin Cities, and one in Chicago! Has anyone heard of Feed My Starving Children? Probably not! Well, anyways, about it. At Feed My Starving Children, we make food for starving kids like in Africa or places where people are starving. What we make is food for them, and ship them off! The food has chicken (not actual chicken cause some people might be vegetarians! But it's like the stuff in ramen noodle soup that makes flavor!), vegetables (gotta have those!), soy (protein), and rice! You have to put them in by that order. When the children get them, they cook it in water, and then eat it. It's really good. We made like a THOUSAND today! Each bag is 6 servings! After we finished, we get to have a sample, and they are SOOOO GOOD! But I can't imagine eating just that much day after day. They also told us how Feed My Starving Children started. The person who made the organization was in Africa or something, and he was walking past an outhouse. When he was walking past, he heard crying. So he went inside to see what was happening. He figured out that a mother had abandoned her little baby and thew her in the potty hole! EEP! So he attached a rope on, and climbed down and saved the baby. He named him Moses. They had pictures of him when he found him, and he was soooooo tiny, and you could see his ribs!!! :( :( And then they had pictures for like 6 months later, and he looked like a normal, healthy boy! :D:D:D:D! There was also one where this boy was like 15 years old, and he looked like he was 3, 4, or 5 years old! :( :( :(!!! then they had pictures of now, and he looks GREAT! I think they said that he wants to be a priest. It's soooo sad, but it's a great feeling when you're done making all that food that we're making a HUGE difference in the world. I think they said that with all we made, we could feed about 30 or fewer people for a WHOLE YEAR! Isn't that great? I'm so happy that we can help people that are starving and eating things that are really bad for you. They said that some kids have to live on ROCKS! :(:(:(:(:(. So if you EVER hear of a Feed My Starving Children in your city/town etc. remember that it's SUCH a great organization and you can help starving people SOOOOOO much! It really helps! :D:D:D:D! yay!

What do you think? Did I write to much?

Wow that is so awesome!  I think it is so great that there are organizations like that out there.  My school does donations but hardly anyone donates anything so it's really pathetic.  I wish people understood just how much you can give to people with so little effort.

It doesn't seem like we were doing much, really, but when we learned how many meals we made, it made us all happy inside! (Plus there were 77 people, but last time I went there we had MUCH fewer, but we made a lot then, too!) I keep having this warm feeling when I know that I'm doing something good for other people, and then thinking of all those kids... starving, THAT makes me bawl! It's the saddest thing, I mean, look at us! We are in perfect health! (or at least, much better health than they are!) It's so sad that kids starve like that! But it's so wonderful that people can make a difference and help other people. It doesn't just make THEM become more healthy, it also lets us have fun! It really is fun!
