Chatterbox: Down to Earth

So, I've noticed

So, I've noticed that a lot of people have little thingie on the bottom of their posts. Like a little pet SOMETHING that says things every once in a while, such as:

ApplePie says mlobs.

Fligg says klophfloph.

And so on...

I was wondering- do these little whatever-they-are's have anything to do with anything? Can I have one? PLEASE? I imagine them being extremely cute...

Mine shall be:

Garthwumpian Flopp says sSSCHRWEEEKBAMCRASH...oops.

Quintus- The pen may be mightier than the sword, but the sword is mightier than the paper shredder.

It's the captcha. That thing that has a code for you to type in? People give it names and talk about what it says to them. Yep.

Who's N?

Francesthecat? Nice name. :)

I think N would be whoever decides to own up to it.

Garthwumpian Flopp likes the letter x. He says bxrx.

I'm sorry you're confused! I'll try to explain! Alright, well, a long time ago, the anti-spam thing said a real word. People got excited. They started mentioning when it said interesting things. It then started saying names. People were excited by this. They started calling it by thoes names. Then people wanted to invent their own names for it. There isn't really a reason for it; we just enjoy it. It isn't really rational; it's silly. I like it, though! If you don't, you don't have to join in; not everyone does. :)
