I don't know much about French. I only know bon jour, which Bekah P. already put down!

LUCKY! i have never crossed the ocean before! NEVER! I really want to someday! When I grow up and become a famous writer (I have big dreams.), I'm going to go to many places! Across the ocean to Italy, France, England, Ireland, (I'm Irish!) Germany, (German, too!) Spain, Russia, and SOOOOOO many other places! You're all so lucky if your families are even THINKING about going to those wonderful places! This is what happens when I ask.

Me: Dad, can we go to France?

Dad: No.

Me: Mom, can we go to England?

Mom: No.

Me: Why not?

Mom: Because we don't want you to miss school!

Me. Well then, why don't we go when school is over?

Mom pats my head: Because it's too much money.

That's pretty much what it's like.

I live in Quebec, so I speak French.  I know some good programs for learning French, like Rosetta Stone, but if you ask me a sentence I can tell you! :)

Oh hi!!! Um..this is kinda stupid, but how do you say "Do you speak English?"??? :) Thanks Tongue out

You say it "tu parles anglais."  You don't say the "s" on anglais or parles, so it sounds kind of like: two-parle-anglay.  So there you go!

Umm, actually, it's "Ese-que vous parles en Anglais (do you speak English)?", or "Ese-que vous saves comment parles on Anglais (do you know how to speak English)?"   "Tu parles Anglais" means "you speak English".  "Tu" is less, uhh, respectful than "vous", and is only used when speaking to someone who is younger or the same age as you.  (Ess-kuh voo parrl-ehs on ahn-gles?, Ess-kuh voo savv-ae come-monnt parrl-ehs on ahn-gles?) ;D Sorry if it's confusing.

Oh well..my mom went to France and London like before I was born, so she's been there before....and my dad and I have never gone before....I'm also a bit German...(my mom's great grandparents or something were from Germany)... I also (really) want to be an author, but I get about 1 or 2 chapeters into a book and then I get a new idea for a book and start that....AHHH!!!! :) Ya, we have been thinking of going for a year or two so.....I have pretty big dreams also...i want to travel the world (I don't see that happening any time soon) and I want to open a café (the hippie café) that has vegan and dairy-free food (because I can't have dairy) and vegetarian food also, but I don't really see that either anytime soon....blah..I also want to be a cartoonist....Tongue out See? BIG dreams....

Bye, Claire

p.s. i'm also homeschooled but this fall i'm going to puplic school...) :)

This has nothing to do with France, but I really like your pen name. Mine is Mary Josephine Gevevieve Clare Elizabeth Marie. (I know people reading this have probably seen me say that in a million other posts.)

I take French!  I can a say a bunch; what do you want to know?  I really wish that I could go to France; that would be soooo much fun!  Ummm, you definitely need to go to the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower (or La Tour Eiffel, said: la tour ee-fell in French).  Because you don't speak French be careful what you order.  To be on the safe side order: un crock misur ay un coca see-voo-play.  That's how you say it and it means "a grilled ham and cheese sandwich and a coke, please."  Hope that helps!
