My nana's here.

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

My nana's here.

My nana's here. She lives in California, but she lived here for a few years when my little brother and I were born. I have found out a few things:

There is no Shopper's Drug Mart in the US. Or Zellars. Or the Bay. ._. Is there a Rexall? And Costco?

The main groceries here are Sobey's, Metro, No Frills and the Chinese groceries.

America obviously doesn't have a Canadian Tire. ;)

My eyes have been opened! (heheheinsertjokehehe)

Now I will go pray that the Internet doesn't shut down again. It's been disconnecting since Saturday. So annoying. How am I suppsoed to watch my anime! D:

Huh? Huh? And What is Zellar's? It's a cross of Zell and Cellars.

But we do have a Costco. I love it very much. Free samples are yummy!!!

Where I live, we have Jewel Osco. And there's a Meijers, but it's a bit far for us. There's also Caputo's, but that's a local store, and it's not a chain. As for the Chinese groceries, they have those downtown. I make my mom buy three bags of spiced Cha-Cha ones, the ones in the red bag. I thought it was actually an American brand, until I was in China, and then it's just many, many, many, bags of yummy yummy yummy sunflower seeds. Too bad that I ate all of them from the last trip. I love sunflower seeds, very much.

Rexall? Zellars? Those are strange names for grocery stores. *shakes head*

Rexall is achain of drug store/pharmacies.

Admin was right about Rexall. And Zellars is like a Wal-Mart. :)

What's Jewel Osco, Meijers and Caputo's?

Jewel is a grocery store often associated with an Osco pharmacy within it or right next door.

Meijers is like a higher class Wal-Mart. A huge variety of products: clothing, groceries, hardware, housewares, almost everything, I think. I've been in one when traveling, but there isn't one near where I live. I've never heard of Caputo's.

In New England, I've seen Stop and Shop, Shaw's, Market Basket, and Hannaford's.

Caputo's isn't a chain. Just a local store, but the persimmons are so wonderfully cheap. Yummy.
