Camp Nano, anybody?

Camp Nano, anybody?

Camp Nano, anybody?

This year, they're doing June and August. I'm probably going to go with June, because I start school around August 16th. And it's high school. So my dear mother will be freaked out. So June it is.

For those who don't know, National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo or Nano) is in November, and you try and write a 50,000 word novel in one month. A bunch of us Cricketeers do it. The Nano website has all these cool little graphs where you can track your progress. So Camp Nano is the same thing, but June or August. It's newer than the regular Nano, which is in November.

But yeah... I'm doing it. And lucky me, I have a 6,000 word plot outline for this book that I've been working on, and I'm about halfway through. If I can finish it, no highly caffineated drinks will be neccessary during the month of June.

So... is anybody doing it?

I... might do it. I did it last year but quit halfway through. When you have a whole day to yourself and a whole computer with Internet with a bunch of cool new animes and no rewards from CNaNo, then... you tend to lose track.

I do have an idea though. I wrote the beginning of a novel for NaNo 2011 because I finished the first one on Day 20 I think with 10000-ish words still needed.

I might do it next year, but I'm too busy this summer.

I'm on regular NaNo, but I signed up too late to do the June one in camp. So I'm going with August.

Lucky me, our school system is so whacked up that it doesn't really matter which one I do, I'll probably be working through half a month of school either way.

Garthwumpian Flopp says napp. Yes, I do want a nap.
