Ideas

So I have a lot of ideas floating around in the back of my head that I will probably never use, but are good ideas noetheless. I thought instead of letting them just go stale, I would share them with you wonderful folk who might be able to make something out of them. I have a few random vague ideas, a couple of names, and a whole slew of titles because I love to come up with titles but I have a terrible time matching titles with stories.

Here's a random idea:

Everybody knows the excuse, "it wasn't me, it was my evil twin." The phrase is tossed around lightly, and no one believes for a moment that it is true. But what if you really had an evil Twin? A Twin who live in the Wraith World, a ghostly world invisible to the human eye. In the Wraith World, everything of the real one is copied in perfect detail--every flower and building and drop of dew. The Wratih World is peopled by the real world's counterparts, ghostly people who look exactly like the people of the real world. There is one major difference, however...the Wraiths have no consience. They also have a nasty habit of humanizing themselves and showing up on the real world, looking exactly like their counterparts and in search of one thing--their counterpart's heart. With the heart, the Wraith can straddle both worlds, and gain  immense power over both.

That's all I have so far. This idea has been festering in the back of my brain for over a year now, and I haven't gotten around to doing anything with it, so I thought I'd toss it out to the general public. Besides that I had some names that I can't think of right now and I'm too lazy to get up and find them, so I will post those later. Other than that, I have titles:

The Truth of the Matter*

Only a Lie*

Death Came Knocking*

Mission Invisible

The Invisibility Game

There's a Killer in the Room

The KEEP OUT Sign

*I'm not entirely sure yet that I'm not using these titles, I more kind of tossed them out there to see what you guys think of them. They could possibly be the titles of a trilogy that I'm writing about the book of Esther.

So yeah. There are my ideas, feel free to use them if you want them. And if you have ideas that you don't mind other people using, by all means, share. I--and other people too, I'm sure--would love to hear them.

I have an idea myself. I have been thinking about when people say that stue moved, or the painting blinked. I think that it did move, or it did blink. I think that all these things have a soul a life. But they're just too scared to show themselves to us. They think we're better then them. And they're so scared they only move when we're not looking or when they think that we're not looking. And some of them are mad at us and taunt us when were not looking. And that if the person sees them move, it makes them sound mad to the people around them. So that's all of my idea.

Sorry if it was obvious, but is that a story idea or something you actually believe? Just wondering-:)

I seriously want to use your wraith idea, Jess.  It sounds very good.  Mission Invisible sounds like a possible title for the wraith book, if the plot is a girl tries to go to the wraith world.

For the Wraith World idea, maybe a girl in the real world comes across a girl who looks exactly like her, but acts a little nicer.  She's really confused, but then finds out from her 'sister's' 'evil twin' that she was originally from the Wraith world.

I have one title without a story.

Pretending to be Sentient

I thought of it after chatting with cleverbot. Then, the phrase just sounded awesome.

I am currently in the midst of what is known as Planning For Camp NaNo (I KNOW it's 11 days away.)

Sooo... Here are some things that I want to incorporate but think HOW IN THE WORLD would I ever stick them in? Even if I put in a MASSIVE SUBPLOT I don't think it would work at all! So now they're floating.

It used to be a world of magic. It used to be full of impossible things, hundreds before breakfast, thousands before lunch, millions before bed. Now, with the arrival of the colonials, Canada is no longer made on the theory that whatever is deemed impossible, must happen. The inhabitants of this land have all but forgotten their past.

But magic still lies in wait for those unlucky enough to find it. When Lillian was only twelve, she found a particularly vicious remnant of the old days in the form of a brass locket that caused her to sprout the wings of a bat. Sean, at age nine, found something he shouldn't have and fell into a state of calm insanity. Quentin, a tree, an incurable disease. Rocky, a loose floorboard, a drastically fluctuating IQ. So many victims, so little space. And how would one go about trying to cure these people? [Q can't seem to remember how she was going to go about ending this, so she's going to move on.]

~

I'm thinking of calling it "Vancouver". Here's another:

"Relevant or not, the term 'jumbo shrimp' still exists."

I so want to have a character say this, it's just,... weird.

Meh! That's a lot!

@ Quintus:

That sounds like a cool idea. If you want to stick that quote in, you can have Rocky say it. You say his IQ fluctuates? Have him say really dumb and crazy things at really random times.

Hey, that's great!

Now, basically wha I want to do is have Lillian be the main, and all she wants to do is revers the spell/curse/whatever and become normal. (something that should be noted is that these bat wings are not big enough or strong enough for her to actually fly. They're just there.) I've drawn out some basic floor plans for the Vancouver Magical Rehabilitation Centre, where it takes place.

Here are some basic character sketches:

It goes (left to right): Lillian (bat girl), Rocky, Quentin, Sirra (I didn't mention her earlier, but she constantly changes color - think Hogfarb's Resplendent Immolation or Mamma Gkika.), Sean.

For the record, there are not yet any Designated Love Interests, and I don't think there will be.

I actually wrote a two book story about the evil twin idea. People are born as twins-one Beneveliad and Malevad. They are actually seperated into two different areas in the city because the Beneveliads can do no wronng and the Malevads never do anything good. The two books are the exact same story told by a set of twins- the first book by the Beneveliad and the second by the Malevad. It was fun.

The Catpcha's evil twin is ibiz. An ibis?
