Yeah. Who's doing it this year? It's my first year and I'm really looking forward to it, because I have more than a germ of an idea before I actually start writing!
In short, does anyone have tips on getting through, experiences, plans, potential summaries?

Potential summary of my novel:
Usuki just seems like a shy girl that just wants to fit in with everyone
else at her new school. Problem: She's part human in a school full of
demons. Ai is determined to help her, but she could find that this new
girl might be hiding some dirty secrets... Secrets that could shatter
Ai's whole world.

So I recently found out that a good friend of mine, K, has been doing NaNo for a number of years. I think she's the only person I've ever met in real life who does it, which is slight incentive for me to do it myself. Unfortunately I don't think she's ever won, which is too bad because she's a reallyreallygoodamazing writer--she writes Wonderland sort of stuff, got this whole world worked out and everything. Anyway I was kind of excited because I actually met somebody who does it. /randomstoryoftheday
As a side note, has anybody else noticed that the little Cricket cartoons at the bottom of the page have been the same for a number of years, or is that just me?

CHANGE OF PLAN/UPDATE
I decided against all good reason and sanity to sign up for NaNo, which I did about ten minutes ago. I am fully aware and in acceptance of the fact that I am NOT GOING TO WIN because
A. This is my first year and I got all signed up and stuff late, so
B. I have NO IDEA what on earth I'm doing, story-wise or otherwise, as well as
C. I reallyreallyreally don't have time for this.
But I'm excited anyway. My username's JessacaRose, in case any of you care.

I think I'm the only person on the YWP. Which is not that bad. Because I believe that writing buddies would be somewhat of a distraction.
