Palindromes!

Palindromes!

Palindromes!

Has anyone heard of palindromes? They are a word or group of words that can read either left to right or right to left and still say the same thing.

I want to see how many palindromes we can make up. So, please post what you find!

1.   Dennis sinned.

2.   Do geese see God?

3.   Was it a car or car I saw.

4. A man a plan a canal Panama.

5. Madam I'm Adam.

(4 and 5 are old ones from Admin.)

Admin- I like number 4!

I remember hearing it when I was in grade school. I didn't create it on my own.

Top is not a palindrome!

Neither is poke.

An emu as i assume.

If you spelled that to make it a palindrome it would have a rude word in it  but it would be a palindrome.

"top pot" is a palindrome (from my bro).

Epoch H. Cope (name?).

Mom.

Dad.

Sis. (the whole family!)

Bob. Bub. Bib. Hah! Ma'am. Madam. Moddom (That's my British accent)

People say "Top" and "poke" to get threads closer to the top so more people see them and post on them.

I looked some up...

*Never odd or even.

*Rats live on no evil star.

*Lisa Bonet ate no basil.

Don't you wonder how people come up with these? Nothing better to do with their time? My brain is in awe. . . .

They must have a lot of time on their hands. Maybe they were on a long car ride, or maybe some astronaut got bored on his way to the moon.

My favorite palindrome in the entire world:

"Go hang a salami! I'm a lasagna hog!"

And:

"Panda had nap."

Yava says ytzk. That is not a palindrome.

Who is Yava?

I think that's a nickname for the code you have to type before submitting a comment. Different people call it different names.

Yava is my captcha. Usually, on my threads or first post on a thread, I write what code I have to type in to submit something. People call it all kinds of stuff, but my favortie would have to be Quintus's, who is on and off. Maybe she'll come back soon, because her captcha's name is Garthwumpian Flopp. And I love it so.

A while ago (actually, she's done it twice to date) Yava spat out something along the lines of emcz. I took the z for a 2 and decided she was Einstein. That's when she made a crusade as Spambert or Spamstein, depending on my mood. 'Yava' was in the box when I submitted my first comment a long long time ago, and it stuck.

Right now she says vgrr.

My friend thought of this one inspired by a book quote I found (don't ask):

Go dog

That's all I have...
