Future RP

I think we've tried to start one of these a lot and then they've died. So... What should it be about? Please join!

I'll join! So, by future does that mean that the characters travel into the future or the characters live in the future?

Well, I was sort of thinking that they live in the future but if more people would like to do some time-travel thing then that would be okay, too.

Any ideas what it could be about?

Maybe we could have it be a bit like Across The Universe...   ?

Ooh! I'll totally join! The only thing that comes to mind when I think futuristic is a steampunk/Sanctuary cross type thing. I'm game for anything!

I've got one problem: What's Across The Universe and Sanctuary?

Across The Universe: A bunch of people have been cryogenically frozen to go on a space ship and set up a new planet and there are other people on the huge spaceship.  A really good book.

Sanctuary: A medieval town where there are a bunch of thieves and beggars etc.  Not really in the future, but it's an idea.  The setting for the Thieves' World series, which is also good.

Spamster in his spamster cage says toey.  Toe ee.  Not a lot of signifigance in these books.

I actually have never heard of Thieves' World. Sanctuary was a show on Syfy about a secret organization called the Sanctuary. *show spoilers*

They delt with "abnormals," which were anything from mermaids, to aliens, to hybrids, to the "real" Jack the Ripper. (not necessarily a show for all ages.) The main character, Helen Magnus, who used to play on Stargate, was born in Victorian times. She was a scientist, and along with a couple others (a few including Nicholus Tesla,,who turned out to be a fullfledged vampire, and the "real" Sherlock Holmes) infused themselves with vampire blood, therefore each gaining special abilities. They all aged VERY slowly (so they all just look like middle-aged people in the show). Helen became super intelligent, another guy can teleport, Tesla became a full vampire, and I can't remember Holmes' cause he died early on in the show. The only main character out of that particular bunch though, was Helen. The rest came in every so often. Something that reminded of futuristic was Hollow Earth, where most abnormals come from. The other characters are Will (Helen's assistant), Henry (tech guy who's also HYP (hyper excelerated person or werewolf), Ashley (Helen's daughter who dies), and Kate (a girl who comes in later).

*end of spoiler* The whole show sounds weird, but it was actually really cool! Again, not always *ahem appropriate ahem* conduct or language, but overall, cool!

Oh.  Then, Elizabeth, I misinformed you.

Future RP! Great! I will, am, join/ing.

Just saying, I have trouble with any time travel at all, since if more matter is thrown into another time and dimension, wouldn't that throw off universal balance?

Of course, that makes little sense, so let the future RPing with time travel crazy stuff amazingistic begin!

Zaga says "acre." No, Zaga, I am not going to buy you an acre of land. You can do it yourself.

Both Sanctuary (the show) and Across the Universe sound really cool. We could do some RP similar to those. We could also do something like The Host, which I haven't seen or read, but the trailer looks sort of cool. We'd better decide. So what would you prefer?

I haven't seen or read The Host either, though my dad told me about it. It does sound cool. I'm game for whatever!

I'm really bad at making decisions so someone should just say which one they think is best... I'd sort of like to do something with aliens that look like humans or whatever, sort of like I Am Number Four or The Host.
