Chatterbox: Inkwell

I hope nobody

I hope nobody gets mad at me for endorsing another magazine on Cricket Magazine website. BUT. Cricket doesn't exactly offer too many options for publication in the regular magazine. There's just the contest every issue. So it's not exactly like Cricket is in competition with Creative Kids. Besides, Creative Kids is WAY more of a niche publication than Cricket. Cricket is way better off so they're not really hurt by my talking about Creative Kids. Now that I've sufficiently talked myself into it, I'll start:

You guys should check out Creative Kids Magazine. All they publish is work by kids, which means that:

1. Any of you could submit something and easily get in (that's my main reason for mentioning this,) and:

2. Either the editors aren't very partial, or they don't get many submissions (likely the latter) because sometimes the work is somewhat sub-standard. And I REALLY, REALLY hate to say that because it makes me sound like I think I'm so much better. I don't...it's just that from an objective viewpoint, some of the stories and poems don't seem very thought out, that's all. And because of this, you guys being excellent writers means you would probably make it in and make the magazine better too. And I'm interested in helping the magazine because:

3. I'm on the student advisory board. Kind of like a student contributor/editor (and I've been published.) But I don't know how much about that I should say for privacy reasons.

Here is their website (and I completely understand if the Admins have to remove this link, but it's just the offical website for the magazine, like this one but without the chatterbox and stuff.)

Creative Kids magazine seems interesting! I love being creative, so this magazine might be a favorite for me! Thanks for sharing! :)

I found this too, and wasn't sure what it was like. I'll definitely send a story in. Maybe you'll read it, Coral!

From what I've seen, however, I didn't think the story selection was too bad. Perhaps a little unedited, though.

I've heard of them before. Don't they say that you can send in cartoons? Do they mean one-page ones, or strips, or....? Do you know, Coral, or am I thinking of somewhere else?
