The story game.

Chatterbox: Inkwell

 The story game.

The story game. (You may have heard of it.)

I'll start...

Footsteps echoed around the alleyway as a dark shadow made it's way to a door that nobody else seemed to notice before...

You continue the story! (Continue the story from where the person above you left off to avoid multiple stories.)

The figure reached the rusty door and slammed her fist on it three times, listening as the metallic echoes mingled with a creaking "Come in."

The figure stepped inside, and was immedeatley blasted with light. All around the room, wooden torches lit the stone walls that had desks and tables with all kinds of trinkets on them. The figure turned to the one who had beckoned him in. "Greetings, Linoa." he said, closing the door. "Glad you could make it."

Oh! Sorry, WritingWarrior indicated that the main character was female, and I said the opposite. I meant to say her instead of him. I would like to keep the name Linoa though. (made it up)

"Of course! I didn't have much else to do, so having a little talk with you was the best thing," said Liona. "Sit," said the man. Liona did as she was told. She sipped her tea and asked, "So, what did you call me down to talk about?".

"Don't act all cheery," said the man. "This is serious, Linoa." Linoa looked surprised. "Oh. I see." The man walked over to Linoa and snatched the tea away. "And this isn't a tea parlor." He walked over to one of the tables, and switched the teacup with a strange, tiny machine. "Do you know what this is?" he asked. Linoa shook her head no. "Well then, we have a lot of work to do," said the man. "Let me exlplain."

Liona nodded. "This is alien machinary. It has come to this earth. It is from the future. I can tell. There is no other explanation. Don't you agree?" Liona looked at the small button box. At the bottom of the front, there was a round button with a square on it. At the top of the front, there was a black dot. The front was covered with glass. The rest was covered with removable pink rubber. Liona was sure she agreed. She pressed a button on the top. The glass front flashed with light. It was very peculiar.

"So you do know," the man said, clearly impressed. "Well, do you know what it does? What it really does?"

"Umm.." Liona said. "Not really. I just pressed a button. I'm not genius." "Well, figure it out!" commanded the man. Liona touched the glass. "Ah! The image just moved!" "Well keep figuring it out! Don't stare at me! I don't know how to work it!" "Well neither do I!" Liona shouted back. "Just do something!" the man shouted back. Liona slid an arrow in the glass. A bunch of numbers popped up.

Hey! Why do we have to start a new one? Why'd you end the story? It just started! Can we keep the old story going, please? Sorry if this sounds a little rude.

You don't have to ask him. I say we continue the story, because I am the owner of the post.
