with inspiration. She acts like a caring mother and loves going on
adventures.

heroic knight & loves going on adventures.

Granite is a toad, which has loyalty. He will always be
there thought the bad & good times.

Fannie is a toad,
which embraces. She will be there with a hug waiting.

Snuggles is a rat, who loves staying at the restaurant
and taste testing the foods (especially comfort food)

Teddy is a hamster, who loves actions movies. Staying at
the movies is his dream!

SETTING: The Office
Room of a House. On two large desks are cages.

PAULY: What do you expect a lovebird to do in a cage? (Sitting in her Yellow cozy hut thinking)

KINGSLEY: Well, there are different options you know (Sitting in his water bowl inside the
aquarium).

ALLY: Don’t take
advice from him; he only wants to escape all the time, so he can have attention
from his precious owner. Besides, Christine would have given him attention but
she has to do school 24-7.

(Whispering:)Besides,
if he was that important, he would’ve
gotten some attention ages ago!

RICHARD (Dully): Just
do want you want to do, Pauly.

PAULY (Excitedly): That’s it! I am going to
escape out of this green cage and find something more interesting to do.

KINGSLEY: How are you going to get out exactly?

PAULY (Quickly): Right, I kind of didn’t think
about that part yet. But I will think of something.

RICHARD: Well, you better think of something. I’m really boredAnd (whispering) when
they’re bored, they cuddle!

FANNIE: There isn’t anything better to do! And anyways,
cuddling is fun.

PAULY: I got it; I can use my beak to lift the cage door
open. Then I can grab one of my seeds to hold the cage door so I can get back
in again.

ALLY: Well, what are you going to do when you get out of
your cage?

PAULY (sitting down
fixer her colorful feathers
): Well, I will explore the house to find new
thing. You guys know how I love an adventure. I want to fly up to the room
of Michelle. She has a big nest, in there. I’ve seen it before, it’s enormous! (Makes a wing gesture showing how big the
nest is)
I can take a nap there like a princess. After my beauty sleep, I
will go on an adventure across the stairs where there is a huge window where
there is a pond and green trees. Can you tell me the stories of when you
escaped?

KINGSLEY (Turning his head with confidence and settling down to look at Pauly):
It was such a long time ago when I first escaped from this terrarium, but it
feels like it was only a few days ago.

ALLY: Wasn’t the last time you escaped only a few months
ago?

KINGSLEY (Sharply
turning to look at Ally
): I wasn’t talking about that time, but the first time. It was before you started to live
here. So as I was saying, one day I had enough of my interestingly boring cage,
so I decided to leave. I always listened to the girls reading adventure stories
out loud, and people talking in these strange boxes that light up and are
pretty. My favorite characters, all of them, living outside! And I was stuck,
stuck in this annoying transparent box with moss-lined flooring. There was
nothing but a pond in there! No books, no funny Emperor’s New Groove movies,
and most certainly no attention! So when I saw that nobody was around, I
quickly jumped to the roof of my habitat, and pushed against it with all my might!
Since I was practicing before, I was able to get out! But…

PAULY: What happened? Tell me Tell me I need to know what
happens next onto the story. I am begging you please Kingsley!!!

KINGSLEY: Alright, alright. I… I hurt my nose when I was
getting out. But it was worth it. I went to the book case to read the amazing
stories about the adventures of other animals. I learned how to read that
afternoon. I also went to the parlor where the fish used to be located at.
There was another time that I went in the family room were Christine was
watching this movie which was exiting but scary.

RICHARD: I have
escaped once and it was in the basement. I went to the white wall with blue,
orange, and purple polka-dots. I pretended to be a knight without a horse.

PAULY: Wow, you all have escaped once or twice. (Jumping up and down) It is amazing how
you all did it!

ALLY:  But no
matter what we do or where we go, we always end up back in here after we
escape.

PAULY: Know I want to go on my adventure to see different
rooms, by myself and creatures meet other animals.

ALLY: Good Luck.

PAULY: Now I will open this cage door (frustrated because it’s so heavy and not
easy
)(she put her beak underneath a
little opening then she stand tall and push with all her force to lift the door
she starts to climb the cage so it will be easier for her to push her cage door
open
) I am free! Let’s see what should I do fist. I know I will go to the
forest (Office)(walking over to the forest) (Pauly
sits on a rock which is actually a Granite.)

GRANITE:
Hello young fellow! (Granit stands up)

PAULY (screams like scared:) Ahh….
GRANITE:
Hold it right there, I didn’t mean to startle you. I was looking for food until
you sat on me. Would like to get something to eat?

PAULY: I would like to get something to eat, so yes.

GRANITE: Great but I have one question for
you what are you doing in the forest (office)
alone?

Pauly: Well you see I am going on
an adventure to explore this house. I have done many things to get here.

GRANITE: What did you have to do to get here? Why don’t
you have any supplies or food or something you could need along your journey or
adventure?(walking thought the forest to Granite’s
home)

PAULY:
Well I had to plan what I would do first and escape from my cage. I don’t have
any supplies or food or something I could need along my adventure because I
didn’t think about that.

GRANITE: We are here!
(Granite’s home)

PAULY: I can’t wait what there is to eat. Wow is this all?

GRANITE: Yes us forest
animals don’t eat much because there is not enough food for the fish villagers.
They had less than us, until we made a discoid to only eat half of the food in
the forest so there was enlist more for the villagers. I hope you don’t mind
for such little food.

PAULY:
It’s just where I come from I have a lot more food than this. But it’s worth
it. (Eating the food)(After eating):
Thank you Granite for the hospitality but I should get going.

GRANITE:
Wait before you leave take this

PAULY: Thank you

PAULY (When Pauly was
there she saw all these animals and creatures): Wow they look so high classed.
I am thirsty I should get a drink of water. (When she got there to get a drink)

SNUGGLES: Would you like to sit at the bar or the
table?

PAULY ( I am so
confused she said in her mind
): Um……. I will sit at the table please.

SNUGGLES: Ok and for how many?

PAULY: Just one I guess.

SNUGGLES: Alright her you go table for one. Teddy will be
with you in a monument.

TEDDY: So what would you like to drink?

PAULY: Water, Thank you.

TEDDY: $25.00

PAULY (Left out of
the restaurant and said
) : Animals here are nice, but the water here is too
expensive. I just want to go home.

EVERYONE: Pauly your back!

ALLY: We all miss you. Where did you go?

KINGSLEY: What did you see? Was it fun?

FANIE :( gives a
great big hug to Pauly)

PAULY: Hold on everyone, I just want to say that I
realize that there is no place like home. Even if it gets boring or there is
nothing to do its home. It may be exiting, interesting, scary, and fun when you
escape but in the big city things were expensive and in the forest everyone was
kind, but there was little food. However, at home, everything is perfect.

EVERYONE: ah…. (Everyone was
crying because that speech was amazing which made everyone realize the same
thing Pauly noticed
)
