ADVICE COLUMN!

So I've seen a lot of people making threads about their problems and asking for advice. Well, why not turn this into one huge thread?

Post your problems here and the Advice Giver will comment back to help.

But I'm not the only Advice Giver! To give advice, all you have to do is comment under the name Advice Giver. We will all be different CBers under the same name!

Awesome idea, whoever you are! I'll definitely be checking back on this thread a lot! I think it's a great way to help others, and yourself! :)

I just found this thread .

So there's a boy and he's texting me, and he asked me how my day was and even sent me a picture of the cookies he was eating and asked me what I was doing twice .

Do you think he likes me ?

I'm not really sure if this question is really good to post on here. But I will answer it anyways.

He may just want to be your friend. I mean, if a girl did that to you, would you think that meant that she liked you?

Anyway, just be nice to him. Unless, if you don't know him, just ignore the texts.

Yeah, I think I agree with Advice Giver on this one. :)

Yes! I knew this would work! You see, that wasn't me, that was someone else under this same name, like I suggested! :D

I know this kid who is a psychopath. No, really. He sits alone during lunch watching random people with the eyes of a killer. We have never spoken to one another, yet one day he hit me HARD in the face with a log for no reason. I still have a scar. He also punched anothekid in the eye.

Worst part? He's six years old.

Help?

Whoa. This kid must have some problems. You might want to talk to a counseler to something so he/she could deal with the kid. He might've been abused, or maybe he has some problems. Talk to your parents, too.

That is a bit strange. You can do a few things.

-Completely ignore him, which might not work out, since he might still bug you.

-Talk to him. Maybe something's wrong at home and he tries to take it out but doesn't know how.

-Tell a teacher. They might be the best to help him.

Remember that little kids don't understand yet to control themselves. Some little kids have done questionable stuff to me, and it's just because they don't understand. If he were older and did that, then that would be a bigger problem. He might just be going through a phase.

The kid might have problems at home.  Talk to him. You gotta be friendly. He may be a nice kid inside. Just don't blame everything on what he does outside of himself.

Friends come out of the toughest places, and he may be one.

Dear Advice Giver,

Sounds nice, but no.  He comes from a wealthy family that my mom knows. His older sisiter is actually nice, but he is NOT. He tried to put his foot through my mom's laptop.

HELP PLEASE

Hi, I'm a companion of the Doctor and he just underwent a regeneration, and I loved the old him but his/her new incarnation is SO DIFFERENT... he went from looking like a teenage boy to a 40-year-old woman! And she seems agressive... in a regenerative crisis she almost killed me! What do I do? HELP!!!

Are you sure that's him? Because there was a flash of light on my home planet and the housekeeper was gone, and there was a boy in her place. Housekeeper matches your description exactly. She murdered someone, but she got out of jail. If this is correct, I have a Dimension Traveler and can help. Hang in there!!! I'm coming!

My grandparents live far away and are very boring. Not really boring, I just don't know them! We only write to each other or communicate with each other around Christmas when they ask me what I want for  Christmas. (I usually don't want anything and have started asking them to donate to a charity. Politely, of course.).

So I'm annoyed because it doesn't make sense to be annually giving gifts to someone you don't know, just because she's related to you. Either get to know her (and I don't want to know them, I don't really care about them) and give her thoughtful gifts or no gifts at all, or ignore her or just give her cash for Christmas or donate to a charity.

Also, I have a lovely great aunt with whom I regularly correspond, and we JUST started exchanging gifts, which is just fine!

I guess this is more of a rant than an advice request, sorry.

Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions for how I could possibly get my message accross to my grandparents?

Living great distances apart does make it harder for extended families to get together and keep in touch, especially for older people who may find it more difficult to travel. Your grandparents want to know you and are keeping in touch the best way they can. They are happy to hear from you. Remember they are parents of one of your parents, so be considerate of that. Does that parent talk about growing up and some of the things he/she did with parents? That's one way for you to get to know your grandparents better. What years were your grandparents teenagers? What was life like for them? What important world events in history do they remember? As you get older you may become a parent, then even a grandparent and grow in understanding.
