THE FOUR SOCIETIES:
We can make up more, though:
Gearaman, the tinker's society. They live in rustic houses made of wood and often have mechanized things in them.
Fablin, the tailor's society. Often live in nicer houses, with clothes made by themselves. Some are very rich.
Apharfair, the soldiers. They live in poor condition, like shacks.Other than that, they live pretty well. They get plenty of food and water, though some of the food is a bit dubious.
Espiona, the spies. No one knows much about their home, and they never really visit anyway.
We can make up more societies!

Personality: Nice, wary, intelligent, smart, eccentric.
Appearance: Petite, dirty almost brown blond, sea green eyes, pale skin.

Personality: Sweet, excitable.
Appearance: Dark skin, blue eyes, curly black hair.

I. LOVE. STEAAAMPUNK.
Anyway, steampunk is kinda in the past, where you would wear top hats and most of the technology was being made. But everything is made out of gears, and they use coal for fuel.
I made this character a little while ago. I really love him.
Name: Drake Millo.
Society: Hm... gearaman!!!
Age: 13
Personality/backstory: He lives in a rather rich house with his family. Drake's parents give him anything he wants, but Drake hates it. He likes to hang out with the old people who live next door, and he has the ability to make live things out of gears.

Personality: Sercretive, hot-tempered, clever, private, agile and swift
Appearance: Long, straight blonde hair ( blonde hair so blonde it's white), small nose, large sparkling gray eyes, tan, freckles, dappled cloak that looks like it's made of shadow, and soft, slipper-like soleless black shoes.

Society: Used to be a Fablin, but she eloped with a mysterious man. The man then left her one night, and so she is an outcast, too proud to go back to her father.
Age: 19
Personality: Suspicious of everyone, and rather wounded, but ready to help anyone in need.
Appearance: Pretty, but not gorgeous. Golden hair, and a slightly turned up nose that she hates. However, no one has seen her face since she eloped- she wears a heavy hooded cloak.

Aquata Shadow slipped through the quiet streets of Fablin. the girl she was after was supposed to be here. Aquata used her inborn telekinesis to lift herself to the second story window and peer in.
Ellilise Needle was unaware of Aquata and sewed a little hankerchief. She tossed her curly black hair over her shoulder and sang a quiet song. Suddenly she blacked out, and when she opened her eyes, she was in a dark room.
"Hello?"

There was no answer. Oh, she thought. If only Enid hadn't left. She would have come and rescued me from this... What was this anyways? Some sort of dirty room- the paint was peeling, and dust was scuffed up on the walls. Morbid possibilities danced through her mind. What if there was a kidnapper? What if that was who had taken Enid away, and she'd never eloped after all?
What if...
What if her fiancée was a criminal? Almost hyperventilating now, Aquata threw herself at the door. To her surprise, it creaked slowly open, revealing a dim hallway beyond.
