Toby~

Hiron's eyes turned green, and a weird slime of the same color started coming from them. Almost instantly, the slime stopped, but Hiron's eyes remained green.

I looked at Slip in horror. "What did you do to him?"

Slip chuckled. "Don't worry kid," he said. "The curse has different effects on different people. It was draining my power away, which is why I look like something the cat dragged in. If anything, it seems the curse is enhancing yer friend's power. It's too early to tell, though. The curse might take a turn for the worse." Slip smirked at his rhyme.

"My friend's name is Hiron, and I'm Toby," I said irratibly. "Now, if you're not too busy being Dr. Seuss, you made a deal with us."

"Okay, okay, relax, kid," Slip said, putting up his hands in defense. "I promised you I'd take ya to black hole, and that I will do. Now, grab my arm."

This isn't another curse, is it?" I asked cautiously. 

Slip rolled his eyes. "I'm not a bad person, kid. Even if I could, I wouldn't give a curse to you without your consent. Now, are you takin' my arm or what?"

I hesitantly grabbed Slip's right arm, and Hiron grabbed his left. Then the man did something completely unexpected. He passed right through the floor, taking us with him. We emerged in what seemed to be a large room under the police station.

Slip let go of our arms. "That's where I got my name," Slip told us. "I can slip right through solid matter. Now, quickly, follow me." the man started walking quickly to the far end of the room.

"Hey, wait up!" I called. "You didn't tell us you had powers!"

Slip looked over his shoulder. "Let's be honest, kid. Who doesn't have powers in this blasted city?"

Taking that thought into consideration, I followed Slip through the room, Hiron close behind. It seemed like the room had a hoard of furniture, money, and clothes piled up in it. "Do you live here?" I asked Slip.

"It's more of a temporary home," Slip replied. "But living under a police station DOES have its benefits."

Finally, we reached the far end of Slip's home. It was a dead end, as far as I could see, with the only thing visible on the wall being a small red button.

Slip turned around to face Hiron and I. "Presenting, our ticket to Black Hole," he said, pressing the red button.

A hidden door opened in the wall, revealing something that seemed out of place in Slip's dirty house. A shiny, red spaceship.

Black Star~

James let loose another blast of energy at Black Hole, but he just created a portal and transported it somewhere else.

"You can't beat me child!" he snarled. "I'm the most powerful super villain in the world!"

"Don't make me laugh. I've met chipmunks more dangerous than you!"

"Arrrggg!"

Black Hole flew at James, knocking him to the ground. Then he pulled a magnum out of his jacket and aimed it closer-than-point-blank at James' head. Just then James saw Del disappear through a portal with the guy everyone called 'Doorway' hanging on to him.

"No! Del!" James/Black Star yelled. "Off of me you big oaf!" Black Star wrestled himself out from under Black Hole and pinned him to the ground.

He whooped. "Gotcha Blacky!" Right before Black Hole opened a portal under himself and disappeared leaving Black Star sitting alone in the sand. James hit the ground in frustration. With Black Hole gone, James jumped to his feet and ran back into the main battle.

Uhhhh, hello? Anybody? (Wind whistles, one of those dead-plantball thingies from the west rolls by)
