Chatterbox: Inkwell

This is my Camp NaNo novel Synopsis:

In a future city known as Mantis, every child at the age of four must undergo an operation. This process prevents them from feeling basic human emotions, and trains their brain to behave in unnatural ways, including having extreme obedience towards the Mantis government. To put it simply, it makes you a robot.

The reason for this process is quite simple; disastrous terrorism in the past caused the Mantis government to want a crime-freee society where they are able to easily control everyone and everything. But, once in a great while, someone slips through the cracks and grows up without having the operation.

This is the story of Ben Rain, one of those rare few. In a society where those who can think indpendently are punished with death, Ben must work to blend in with the others and hide from the government until he can find a way to stop the horrible operations once and for all.
