Chatterbox: Inkwell

I t
was a long day for Mister Robins. Three customers got into a wild fight
over some strange thing, and he had to separate them. Later, the police
came into the Finch and Friar, a usually happy hangout for resting
travelers, and arrested another customer going under the fake name of
Gernilot Brown. All Mister Robins needed was some sleep.

But
noooo. Why would an old man need sleep? Mister Robins thought
sarcastically. As soon as he had laid his head on the pillow, a shout
erupted from outside the window. Sleepily looking to see what it was, he
saw that it was one of the fighting customers from that day. Before he
could sigh, though, a gloved hand reached out and put a blindfold on the
poor man. Now he was in a cell contemplating the day ( or rather night )
and how in the world he got here.

It
just so happened that Tommy Gertin, a peasant boy with quite an
attitude, saw this happen and warned his older sister, Lara. Lara was
beutiful and headstrong, and Tommy looked up to her. When Lara heard
this, she set out with a sack of items they would need to rescue someone
and dragged along the protesting Tommy, who just wanted to sleep.

Lara and Tommy silently ran along the dirt road to the River Woods. "No, Lara, no! I-I can't go into to woods at night! It-it's to d-dark!" Tommy stammered.

"Quit
your pestering. Think of all the praise you'll get from the other boys
in our neighborhood when we get back. Tommy Gertin, the bravest one of
them all." Lara convinced him.

"Ok, fine. I sure hope you're right, Lara, or I'll-"

Tommy was interupted when Lara put her hand over his mouth. "Quiet, I hear something."

Tommy whimpered. "I want to go home. " he cried.

Lara gave him a stern look and Tommy shut his mouth. The sound Lara heard was heard by him now, and it was louder.

RUSTLE,rustle, RUSTLE, rustle.
