RP JUDGES! This page is for the judges of the RP contest; we'll talk about how we should award points to each RP. I'm open to suggestions, sooo, start submiting!

Maybe one hundred points; you take and give for spelling, grammar, ideas, characters, lines, etc.

A warning: I have very high standards. Especially having read some of the older RPs in all their glory.

My thoughts on the Steampunk RP:

Has a good atmosphere and interesting idea, but is a bit bland- there isn't very much description. Nice characters.

Mansion: 10 for idea, -1 for darkness, -1 for some flaws in writing. 8 overall.

Steampunk: 8 for idea, -1.5 because it doesn't have much development yet. 6.5 overall.

@Kate-the-great: Of course, you can be a judge.

@All Judges and RPers: Hey guys, I think we should go with Brookeira's and Indigo's method. But I think that we should take into consideration less the idea itself, and more of the imagination behind the idea. We also should take into consideration what kind of story it is. Like the mansion RP is more on the horror side, so naturally there will be some darker scenes, that's not a problem, just so it doesn't get too dark. How about this, we can't give either RP more than ten points, so for example, each judge stops at either ten points (if the RP is really good) or lower. Judges should especially look for (among other things), imagination, spelling, teamwork amongst RPers, and how well the story itself is written. Maybe levvy some points if either RP gets out of hand or isn't done within the time limit. Does that sound okay with everybody and fair with the RPers? We can give either a plain ole score or have scores like '8.5's, but please try to stay within the range of, say, .1, .2, .3, .4, .5, .6, .7, .8, and .9. If your head hasn't exploded by this time, could I add just one more thng? Judges will submit their scores after the RP contest deadline is up. The way I'm going to do the scoring is I'm going to get a sheet of paper and take notes on the two RPs and my take on them on this end and submit my final draft after the finish date. Now, to judges, don't overstress yourself with the judging, just enjoy yourself, same with the RPers and their writing! Just do what you can. The deadline is July 5th! Does that sound good with the other judges?
