Let's start a new role-playing story! The other one won't load for me.  See Dmboogie's rules. We have many positions to fill. This one is set in ancient Greece, where their mythology was true. (No one can be a god. Read the rules, unless they are minor.)

I'll start. I'm the villan, planing to destroy the gods and take over.

Xlanalx rubbed his hands in glee, as another messanger reported that his forces had taken Arbella from the Persians. Soon, he thought, soon I can take on the Greeks and bring Ainodecam to its rightful place in the history books. He ordered his messenger to tell his army to leave a small residual force there, and attack the next Persian city. This would take days to get there, and days to conquer, but he had no better solution.

Well, like it?Wink Here are some character suggestions.

Someone from Arbella w/ magic powers *Sprirt Fingers*

Greek Leader

MINOR god

Persian Leader

Aalishia blinked. She had been sure she had seen the burly head guard disapear through this door. But with all these confusing passageways, who knew? And who was this tall, cloaked man? It couldn't be...Lord Xlanalx?

He continued. "...not Greek. I'm from Anoidecam. I plan to destroy Greece." What? She must have hit her head on the door. That wasn't what the High Emperor of Persia had said at all! "You do?"she said confusedly. Then... If Lord Xlanalx planned to destroy Greece, and Persia planned to destroy Greece, then, weren't they on the same sides? "Hmmm. Maybe... I'd like to help." Xlanalx went on. "You certainly look Greek. You could be a spy. I do need some more intelligence in that area." Aalishia bit her lip. "Of course! Well, that is...Can I think about that? And I'm not Greek. I'm Persian!" She gasped. Did she really just reaveal her mission? Did she really get Persia in danger? How could she do that? "What would this job require? I may just help."

"...I may just help." Those words sent chills down Xlanalx's spine. If he could have a spy, someone so unnoticable as her... " It would only require some light work, in Sparta. I already have a band of spies there posing as a family. You could be their daughter. The pay is gracious, and the spies already there will fill you in on the required information."

"I'll do it," Aliasha replied.

Yes! I will be able to conquer already weakened Persia without her notice, Xlanlx thought. When he heard she was Persian, he knew she'd have to be positioned far away. I can rule the known world! He said to himself. With Persia severely weakened to only a few cities, there was no hope for them.

((Hello, my name is NOT Aliasha, nor Alisha nor Alishia. It's A-a-l-i-s-h-i-a. Say it with me-Aalishia. Good. Sorry to get so picky, but I absolutely hate it when people spell my charrie's name wrong. My pet peeve.))

Aalishia swept on her black cloak and melted into the darkness of the alleyway. She'd never stop Lord Xlanalx on her own. She needed someone to help her, and fast. She'd just left the room when it had dawned on her. Lord Xlanalx was the one behind all the attacks and the taking of Arbella and Darini. And, she'd just revealed her mission to him, the greatest enemy of Persia. If she didn't fix her mistake fast, Persia's safety and the safety of the High Emperor would be compromised, all because of her. Back in the manor, when she realized her mistake, she pretended she had some vital material back at her home to fetch, and had promised to be back. No doubt the crime lord had seen through her flimsy excuse, and had guards tailing her from every alley. Luckily for Aalishia's sake, and all of Persia, Aalishia had one talent that rose above others, and that was not being found.

((I know that whole thing was rushed and not very good. Sorry about that, but I have to go eat dinner.))

After a long journey, Wren's weary feet stood in front of the grand gate of Xlanalx's palace. With a nervous feeling growing in the pit of her stomach, she raised her hand to ring the bell. Finding the gate was open, she timidly made her way down the winding path, right to the villian's door. As she knocked, she heard voices coming from inside. Before she could turn away, Xlanalx himself swung open the door and regarded her with obvious disgust.

"What do you want, child?" he sneered, not bothering to mask his disdain.

"Only to help you, sir," Wren replied, courage blooming in her chest....

Sorry, I had to use Xlanalx for a minute, it's okay if you want to change that part.

Alot of people are coming to my door. How odd.

******

"Help me. How can a little kid like you help me?" Xlanalx said to this odd request. "the only really useful thing you could do is a servant. You are too young to be a spy." "But I can do more.." Wren said. "Something very useful to you..."

******

Sorry I had to use your character. You can change it if you want.

This is a very good story. All of you have very good writing skills. The only problems that you have are: you have too many antagonists And you haven't established a main character/ protagonist. Keep up the good work!

((Hey, Henry, are you new?  I haven't seen you before.  If you are, welcome!  I wish I could write a bit in here, but there are to many people writing already, so . . . *sigh*))

Within the throngs of commoners at the marketplace, Aalishia was trying to thing of a plan. She had to destroy Lord Xlanalx before he could destroy Persia. If she accounted Persia's weakened state, and Lord Xlanalx's forces, there wasn't a chance of her stopping them alone. Lost in her thoughts,  she walked smack into someone in the massive milling crowds. "I'm so, so sorry. Are you all right?" she exclaimed as she helped up the annoyed and now rather dusty individual. "I really-" Aalishia's stream of apologies was broken off as she recognized the face of the girl, a face that was clearly imprinted in her memory. Her eyes narrowed. "Is that you, Orna?"

((Allison, PLEASE get on this role play. My character can't go far without you controlling Orna like we discussed. PLEASE!))

((Also, please don't do much with my character. I won't be here for the next week or so and won't be able to rescue Aalishia if her life is in danger. -Annie))

Wren greedily sucked up the disbelief portrayed in Xlanalx's eyes. She gleefully noticed the disdain that pronounced his features. It was all she could do to keep from laughing out loud when Xlanalx asked, "What could you do for me?"

"More than you know," she replied in a voice she didn't recognize, "as you pointed out, no one notices a small girl like me. They take me for a slave or peasant. My disguise is one I wouldn't have to wear. With my help you could infiltrate the greatest heroes in Greece." Seeing his eyes flash she hastily added, "Besides yourself, of course."

Xlanalx considered. Wren's heart raced, but she glanced at the sun, acting as if she had somewhere to be, as if this wasn't the only place in the world that she wanted to be. Xlanalx's eyes showed his resignation.

"When can I start?" she said, struggling to keep the glee she felt in her heart off her face...

You can change your mind if you want to, you know, not accept Wren, that just seemed like a good place holder.

Biblios was now seriously worried. The recurring temple sacrifices had now reached him, and, upon questioning other minor gods, he found that there wasn't one who hadn't been getting at least ten per week. The sacrifices were all cleverly created so that you could tell that they were all from the same person, but not who. When he tried to find out who it was, he was repelled. But to create a shield powerful enough that a god could not see through it, the briber must already have a god on his or her side. An idea struck Biblios. The person might be unknown to gods, at least in their sacrifices, but they were probably well known among mortals.

By the way, Henry, by ambitious I mean that she's an adolescent with very high goals, you know, killing a guy, conquering a couple nations, etc., etc. Very ambitious.
