SPACE RP!!!!!!

SPACE RP!!!!!!

I know there are way too many rp's right now but I've wanted to do this for a while. So, in this we are a group of traders in space with our own ship. We travel around the galaxy and trade with whomever we please, we don't have a major group that we're with. The ship has transporters and the room where the controls are is called the bridge. Only six people including me can join. These are the positions, engineer, doctor, pilot, science officer, first officer, and captain. I'll be the captain, and after someone takes a position, no one else can have that position.

Species: Human( you can come up with a species if you want!)

Name: Marco Zaci

Age: 17 ( I was thinking we would have the be in their middle to late teens.)

Personality : Laid back but able to make quick judgments and can handle a crisis well. Does not tolerate weakness.

Appearance: Dark skin and startling green eyes, tightly curled black hair that is cut short. Wears t-shirts and cargo pants.

Other: Has put this group together from kids in his town that all wanted the same thing and were very talented, this is their first trip from earth.

Noahi (Sorry, I had spelled my name wrong. Great, right?)

"Hmm.." I prod the computer core with some plyers, moving a wire out of the way. "What! That's too many wires! WHO ON EARTH MADE THIS MESS!!" I scream. I quickly look around, making sure no one was listening, or watching for that matter. I follow the extra wire, finding the reason it was there. And I cut it.

No explosions.

Hey Em? This isn't Star Wars.

And unfortunately Lilly's already pilot... I suppose you could be co-pilot...

Lilly~
When you move to a new ship, the first thing you must do is examine the controls. Every cockpit is different, and it takes a bit of getting used to.

I walk around it a number of times, my eyes taking in everything, until I'm pretty sure I've got the gist of it. Grabbing a speaker near the steering wheel, I announce, "We're going on a test run! I repeat, a test run. Please secure yourself and any loose objects, and locate the nearest emergency exit." Of course, no one really pays attention to the pilot's instructions, but better safe than sorry, I always say.

Shutting off the mike, I grasp the steering wheel with one hand. Shoving a lever forwards makes the ship take the air; another controls height. Pushing it upwards, we gain height and I do a quick circut of the landing dock. Grabbing the mike again, I say, "We will be going into the upper atmosphere. If your ears start hurting, squeeze your nose shut them breathe out through it." I've had to do it before.

The ship slowly gains height. I'd love to go faster, but I really don't want to crash this baby. Twiddling the steering wheel, I push us through the clouds and out into space.

"Hey, Lilly," says Aqua's voice over my earpiece. "Get me level with some asteroids, will you? I wanna test out the lasers."
"Roger," I reply, and push the ship to the side.

Ginger~

Unfortunetly, Ginger didn't listen to Lilly's instructions. Typical. The ship started to rise quickly, but Ginger had to admit it was pretty smooth.  Grasping onto the cabinets, Ginger tried to keep it from opening. If it did Mr.Kat, and T.A.C. would come flying out! "What on earth is going on!" meowed T.A.C. "Shhh! Keep your fur on, we are just going on a test fly. So unless you want to get found out, you'll keep your mouth shut!" A soft grumble came from Mr. Cat. Ginger watched as they surfaced in space, and headed towards the astroid belt. Beams suddenly started shooting from the vessel. Asteroids were being obliverated. Ginger gulped, and was very glad that those asteroids weren't her. Aqua, the tacticales on this ship was clearly trying out her new job. Ginger just wished she wouldn't have to use hers anytime soon.

Noahi~

"Aha!!" I grin, stepping back and admiring my work. "Voila, a brand, much better, new computer core!!" I announce to nobody at all. "It's even shiny now!" I stare at the pile of wire and nonsensical items I built up from it. I grab an incinerator i built a while back and zap the pile, leaving a black mark on the metal table. "Oh well. I'll fix it later."

Danielle ~

I work on my alien mushroom power source as the ship lifted. This ship has everything! Where did they even get all of this? Oh how I wish Ginger were in here. Or T.A.C. I need someone to talk to. I leave my little post after putting my alien mushroom away. The ship is small, so it's pretty easy to navigate. I find the medical room after a little. "Hi Ginger!"

Thanks Forrest for letting me join!

Species: Human

Position: Medic/cook/inventory (I know Ginger is already doctor... she's just medic because she knows where all the medical stuff is. Kind of like an emergency nurse if something happens to Ginger).

Name: Kiliel Lemley

Age: 17

Personality: Tries to resolve disputes peacefully, dislikes conflicts, knowledgeable about survival in space, friendly to all the crew. Always participates, ready for action but dislikes it. Usually she tries to be friendly but she does have a temper, if she's annoyed she needs to be left alone or she'll start banging stuff around (which is not good when she's medic!).

Appearance: Dark indigo-colored hair, slightly elfin ears, dark brown Asian eyes. Wears an olive green camo vest with lots of pockets over a white long-sleeved shirt and slim black pants. Keeps a small olive green cloth pouch hanging from her belt with her own medical kit. The vest holds survival materials like water, instant food, oxygen capsules, and assorted tools and gadgets. She wears a black wristband computer/communicator/watch on her left wrist (some people wonder if she's cyborg and it's implanted, but it's not). When she's in the storage bays she wears black fingerless gloves and keeps her hair in a messy ponytail, but when she's just hanging out she doesn't wear the gloves.

Other: Spends most of her time in the storage bays and the main food hall. Tries to be friendly and helpful. You can always ask Kiliel for help with anything, and she'll try as best she can... unless it's fighting.

Kiliel~

Marco walks around the ship. Since we're just gently cruising through, I left the storage bay door open. I'm sitting on the metal floor of the storage bay, sorting through the contents of one crate that wasn't sealed. It seems to just be the place where everyone stuffed their extra stuff: half a unit of rope, a sealed plastic bag of food capsules, ten glowplastic sticks, the kind used on space walks. I'm consolidating everything and putting it back in the crate.

"Captain, I was wondering if I could test out our weapons systems on those asteroids?" I can hear Aqua through the earpiece all the crew, including me, are wearing.

"Sure, just be careful." That's Marco.

"Hey, Lilly, get me level with some asteroids, will you? I wanna test out the lasers." Aqua again.

"Roger." That's Lilly. The ship lists to one side as she turns it. Luckily, I've gotten all the loose stuff back in the crate, and just one plastic bag of some small food capsules slides across the floor. I stretch a hand out and grab it to put it back in just as Marco walks into the storage bay.

"Hi, Marco. Just sorting out the stuff," I say, pushing one lock of indigo hair out of my face and behind one ear.

"We have everything for the trip, huh." Marco puts his hands on his hips, looking over the room full of crates, stacked to the ceiling. I understand his pride: it's his ship, after all, and we're just here to help out.

"Where's our first destination?" I ask, shutting and sealing the crate as I stand up next to him.

"That's a good question. I was just about to call a crew meeting," Marco says. He touches his earpiece, turning it on -- he must have turned it off after he left the bridge -- and dictates, "Lilly, put the ship on autopilot. Aqua, secure the lasers for later. Ginger and Danielle, get whatever you're doing under control. Noia, I know you're working on the computer, so if it's urgent you can stay, but please otherwise shut it down and come. Crew meeting in mess hall now. Repeat, crew meeting in mess hall now."

He beckons me to follow with one hand as he holds the storage bay door open with the other. I peel off my gloves, tucking them in a pocket of my vest, and run after him, closing the storage bay door. On the earpice I hear the others. "Autopilot set. Rodger." "Weapons shut down. Rodger." "Computer secured. Rodger."

The mess hall is just one room over from the storage bay, set between it and the bridge, or the stairs to the bridge at least. In the center of the room is a large table with chairs all around: Eight of them for all the crew members. Noia comes in first from the computer room, which is on the other side of the bridge stairs. She sits down next to me on one side of the table, while Marco, the captain, sits at the head.

Noia and I know each other, and Marco, from Earth as kids. We were the first two to sign on when Marco bought his ship, and both of us are more than ready to go on this adventure.

Everyone else files in and sits down, and then Marco starts the meeting.

"So, we're heading through the asteroid belt now, ready to go out into the system. Any suggestions for our first trade destination?"

Just going to point out, I spelled Noahi's name wrong. It is spelled Noahi. :P

Noahi~

I leave the modified computer core and head to the mess hall. I sit next to Kiliel and the meeting begins.

"Any suggestions for our first trade destination?" Captain asks.

"Well..." I start, "Our ship isn't entirely up-to-date so I was thinking Combolate. They have some great technology and they don't want much in exchange. Just some cooking supplies; they don't have carrots I heard."

Marco nods, "Okay...anyone else? If not, I think Noahi has a great point. We do need to fix her up a little."

"And I also need some parts to improve the engine," I say, looking around the room.

"Going once, twice..." Marco starts.

Danielle ~

How about the Atlantian planet? Hey Ginger, wouldn't that be a surprise?! We could see how Lily's family reunion is going." Lilly stares at us. "Oh, we didn't mean you. We have another friend named Lily." "Who's a lot more violent," Ginger grumps, rubbing a bruise on her arm. The crew still stares at us. "What's Atlantia?" Oh. They don't know. "Well, Atlantia is a planet of, oh what's the word, water dwellers. Like Aquans, they breathe under water and on land. The differences though, are that their hair has many water colored streaks. And when under water, their skin turns the color of their streaks and they grow gills and fins. But on land, they look like the average human, but with crazy streaks.

"They're not 'streaks,'" Aqua said in a bored tone, "they're bioluminescent camoflauge liquid pods."

I'm met with blank looks.

"Camoflauge juice that can glow."

"Oh!"
I blast a few more asteroids into oblivion, shaking my head.
