There comes a

There comes a time when you need to simply accept things. You need to accept that there are some things that are changeable, and that there are some things that will forever stay the same. But you also need to accept that if you don't do anything, nothing will change. This seems obvious, but sometimes we are so caught up in not liking something that we forget we have the power to change things.

Accept that you will need to work for it. But never, never, never accept 'good enough'. Good enough is simply what it states -- good enough. Good enough may get you through life, but good enough will never set you apart from anyone else. Good enough will never teach you what it means to stand out. 'Good enough' is the seed of laziness, planted in your brain until its roots start to grow and soon your mediocre performance takes a disastrous plunge to rock bottom.

Before you know it, all of your potential is wasted, all because you thought what you were doing was 'good enough'. You thought you could get by -- maybe stay on top, even -- withought having to give your full amounts of effort. But while you were busy doing unimportant things (or perhaps not even doing anything at all), someone else was hard at work, and now they have what you once wanted. But you didn't work for it. You didn't accept the effort it would take.

Now you can only watch with awe as you finally understand the payoff. Unfortunately, many people with amazing amounts of potential find themselves along paths strikingly similar to this each and every day. The root of the issue is that they each thought that what they were doing was good enough. By thinking this, they didn't tap into any of their unused potential. And that is what it stayed -- unused.

DON'T FALL DOWN THIS PATH.

Bypass 'good enough' with willpower, effort, and the quality of your work. Put in the extra minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or even years that it might take to reach your desired outcome. And know that in the end, it will totally be worth it.
