Poems From Songs

Ok someone posted something kinda like this a while ago, but it was stories from songs, so I'm not like stealing thier idea or anything......

Anyway, have you ever heard a song and you just think, "That would make a really good poem" or, "I wish that I could write a poem about (Whatever that song was about)"?  That has started happening to me, and so I thought it would be cool if people would post poems like that.

Also, I you feel uncomfortable with letting people know you write poetry for some reason, you can use a different name.  (I am a little like that myself, I don't really post under this name normally.  You can try to guess who I am if you want.)

So here's one I came up with.

All the little lights, twinkling down at me

Up in the sky, they seem so happy

If only they knew, of life down below

Of death and of hunger,

Of cold and of snow

Up there in the sky, there's no problems or comments

But here, down on Earth, there's these special moments

When the world comes together, in a perfect quiet

With love and joy, peaceful and silent

The world I love, I would trade for nothing

I hope you stars know that I have something

This poem is loosely based of "Satellite Call" by Sara Bareilles

I hope that you will like this!
