Family Reunion RP!

Family Reunion RP!

Hello! Here it is, everybody!

People Joining: Joss, Booksy Owly, Cho Chang, Leafmist, and Dragonrider.

Actually, I think that's about the borderline reasonable amount. Sorry, nobody else may join, unless someone drops out. You may have UP TO two charries (but please, at least someone only have one).

Here's the rundown: Uncle Charlie and Aunt Lucy are hosting a family reunion for our charrie's families. Our charries are all cousins and should be between the ages of 4-16. (Any younger or older is a bit boring.) He lives in Pennsylvania in a large house. Really large. It has three floors, the bottom one containing a living room, kitchen, dining room, and bathroom. The second floor has three bedrooms available for our charrie's families and Uncle Charlie and Aunt Lucy's room. Two bathrooms as well. Other specific features like balconies are available for changing. The third floor has three more rooms and one bathroom. Again, specific details may be changed. Finally, the house has a basement with a pool table, couches, and a disco ball. Outside, he has a patio, a flower garden, pool, and decent-sized grass field. The basic plot is mostly just our charries doing exciting, silly, things and having adventures during the reunion. There will be... personal... plots like relationships, fights, etc.

You can be siblings with another person's charrie if they want. IF THEY WANT. Relations like, "Our moms are sisters" will be worked out once everyone has posted. Adults are background and will be used in posts but won't be written from the perspectives of. Charrie Sheet is as follows.

Name:

Age (4-16):

Parents' names:

Siblings, yes or no:

Appearance:

Personality:

Extras: (i.e. Allergic to gluten, does ballet, etc.)

Here are my characters:

Name: Oliver Amanson

Age (4-16): 6

Parents' names: Mellie Amanson, Jack Amanson

Siblings, yes or no: Yes, one.

Appearance: Oliver has curly brown hair that is cut just below his ears and sea green eyes. He is big for his age and most assume he is seven. He standardly wears knee-length shorts and bright patterned t-shirts, picked out by his mom.

Personality: Clingy. He always wants to do what the older kids are doing and be included. Besides that, he is sweet, a generally happy kid, and loves to make jokes. However he is stubborn and throws temper tantrums when he doesn't get his way.

Extras: (i.e. Allergic to gluten, does ballet, etc.) He is scared of spiders. Very. Very scared. He also can't swim, something his mom is determined to fix...

Suggestions: (Like to the house or plot.) Nothing I haven't said.

Name: Harper Amanson

Age (4-16): 11

Parents' names: See Oliver.

Siblings, yes or no: Yes, one.

Appearance: She has curly brown hair like Oliver's, that hits just above her waist. Harper usually ties it into a ponytail or pins it up in a bun. Her eyes too, resemble her brother's, but are a much deeper shade of green. She wears jeans or soccer shorts, and tank tops or tees.

Personality: Harper is a lively, fiery, girl. She rushes headlong into things and plans without considering other possiblilities. A prankster, she loves practical jokes and tricks. Also, a daredevil, she will do anything for fun, even when it's a bad idea. She lightheartedly teases her little brother a lot, though she will defend him against more ill-intending bullies. Harper is something of a tomboy, too, though she does love purple and cute animals.

Extras: (i.e. Allergic to gluten, does ballet, etc.) Is allergic to peanuts, and claims to not be able to eat mushrooms, though she just doesn't like them.

Suggestions: (Like to the house or plot.)  See Oliver.

Yay! This will be fun! If you are dropping out, please SAY.

Ookz says rxaf. Rex after? No, that really makes no sense at all.

Yay! I'm gonna start with two charries, but if too many charries come I'll drop one of them out.

Name:  Theo Amanson (If Jack (Oliver's dad) had a brother whose his dad)

Age (4-16): 16

Parents' names: Brian Amanson, Rachel Amanson

Siblings, yes or no: Yes, he has lots of siblings. (If anyone wants to make some of his siblings as their charrie, I'm fine with that)

Appearance: Tall, tan, sea green eyes, pretty handsome, dirty blonde hair.

Personality: Kind of nervouse, tense, cautious, VERY protective. One of his siblings died in a car crash when she was a baby, and he feels like he could have saved her. His main goal in life is to protect his family from ANYTHING.

Extras: (i.e. Allergic to gluten, does ballet, etc.) Isn't very sporty, but he has the right build for it and he is very strong.

Suggestions: (Like to the house or the plot) IDK.... sorry.

Personality: Crazy, outgoing, random, strongheaded, NEVER thinks before she does stuff, tomboy, basically the opposite of her brother.

Extras: (i.e. Allergic to gluten, does ballet, etc.) Even though she is super sporty and she is a tomboy, she loves pink sparkly stuff and she has a bunch of dolls.

Ok, I can't wait fo r this RP to start, and I've already some up with a beginning to my posts, so I'm just going to start now if that's ok. [WARNING: THE FOLLOWING POST CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT READ MARK OF ATHENA. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK]

Rachelle~

I followed my parents to our Aunt and Uncle's house. I was in my car, a 2006 Toyota Highlander. My dad seemed to have the need to turn around and check me every five seconds. I gave him a thumbs up, then put my hand back on the wheel and kept driving. I guess I can see his worry. I'm also driving my little sister, Clara, to the reunion. She was in the backseat right now. "Hey, you ok, Clara? We're almost there," I asked. No response. She was probably reading. As I stopped at a red light, I turned around to see what she was doing. Sure enough, The Mark of Athena was in her lap, tears streaming down Clara'a face as she read. "You ok?" I asked. Clara still didn't say anything. The light was green, so I had to keep driving. After a few moments, Clara spoke up. "Percy and Annabeth just fell into Tartarus," she sniffed. "I know I've read it 100 times, but it still makes me cry." "Well," I said, trying to lighten the mood, "We're almost at Aunt Lucy and Uncle Charlie's house! When we get there you probably won't have time to read. Clara looked at me, apparently horrified. "There is always time to read," she declared. "Whether it's in the car, or at 12 am, there is ALWAYS time to read." "Well, you're going to have to stop reading just for the moment, because we have arrived," I said while gesturing grandly at Aunt Lucy and Uncle Charlie's mansion.

Clara~ (I'm going to start this post with them being at thier house.)

I walked in the grand oak double doors of Aunt Lucy's house. it was beautiful, with paintings, plush sofas, and food everywhere. There is a table near me with some yummy-looking rolls on them. I snag a few and put them in my pocket. I might need them for later, they might run out of food, especially with all the boys that might be coming. I notice Rachelle give me curious look. I walk over to her and ask, "Where is our room?" "I think it's upstairs. I'll come with you to find it," she replies. We run up the staircase, me going a little bit slower, as I was carrying my pillow and my duffel bag, which was, of course, filled with books. Our bedroom has one king-size bed and a bunch of fuzzy sleepings bags on the floor. I pick the fuzziest, puffiest sleeping bag and throw my pillow on it. "Dibs on this one!" I shout. Rachelle laughs, then puts her pillow on the one right next to mine. "Ok, now where's the bathroom?" I ask. "I can't find anything in this huge house!" Rachelle points to a hallway near the bedroom. "I think it might be down there. Tell me if you find it!" I walk out of the room and eventually find the door to the bathroom. After digging around in the cabinet under the sink for a while, I find a roll of paper towels. I tear off a big chunk and wrap my rolls in it. Carrying my rolls back to my room, I hear the doors opening and the chatter of voices. "Time to lock myself up and read," I grumble as I close the door and pick up The Mark of Athena.

Okay, time to sort out the exact family relationships.

Let's say that Jack, Brian, and Mike Amanson are all brothers.

Summer's mom, Elizabeth, will be half-sister to Miles Harmon, but changed her name after she was married. We can also have Miles be Rachel's (Theo and Amariah's mom) brother. Hazel's mom, Lilly, can be... Jennifer Amanson's sister. As for Uncle Charlie and Aunt Lucy... Lucy can be Sam Smit's sister. Yay! Did it, if that's OK with everybody.

Now we can really start! I'll begin. Leafmist, I think it would be more interesting if Clara and Rachelle arrived a bit earlier before the rest. Just to add... variety. And yes, we'll add woods. Maybe the kids can get lost there...! Finally, I am changing Oliver's age to eight. It might be a bit boring writing from the perspective of a six year old.

-----------------------

Harper~

Oliver bounces up and down in his carseat. "Lalala, we're almost there!" He sings. "I can't wait! Mommy, how big is the house? There's a pool, right? Why aren't there any cousins my age?"

I'm excited, too, but I'm not going insane like Ollie is. I mean, I haven't seen all my cousins in one place since... ever! I roll down the car window and shiver as the cold blast of wind slaps me across the face. I tighten my fleece jacked around my arms. It may be summer, but it's only June. There's still plenty more vacation to go before it gets hot.

"Hey, when's everybody else coming?" I call to dad, who is driving.

"Let me check..." Mom says, reaching for her phone. Oliver shuts up, finally. I guess he wants to know just as much as I do.

"Rachelle and Clara have been there since Thursday." Mom reports, scrolling down the calendar.  "Amariah and Theo have probably just arrived right now. Summer, Grace and Emerson are coming tommorow—"

"Who're they?" I ask. I can't recall a Summer, a Grace, or an Em-whatever. Rachelle and Clara have come over for Thanksgiving before, and I vaguely recall meeting Amariah when she was just born, but I didn't know about those cousins.

"Their mom is Clara's dad's half-sister. We really don't know them that well." Mom frowns, then continues reading off. "Rachel and Leila are arriving a bit after Summer, and Hazel comes the day after that."

I remember Leila and Hazel. They're the only cousins that are exactly my age.

"Dad, how much looonger?" Ollie whines.

"Er... forty five minutes."

Forty five minutes until mega-fun! I can't wait.

Oliver~

"S'not fair!" I moan dramatically.

"What's not fair?" Harper asks, turning toward me. She looks a bit annoyed.

"There are hardly any BOY cousins and I'm tied for youngest with a GIRL!"

Harper rolls her eyes. "It'll still be fun. I'll play with you."  she assures me, before swinging around again to look out the window.

The ride from there is boring. I draw in my coloring book, and Harper plays on her phone, which is new. She won't let me touch it. She thinks I'm going to get dirt and muck and gross stuff on it. That's a lie. I'm clean. Mostly. After what seems like forever, we pull up in front of the biggest house I've ever seen.

"WOW!" I shout, unbuckling my seatbelt and flinging myself out of the car. Harper jumps out right behind me. We dash across the cobbled walk, passing clumps of thick orange flowers. Harper skids to as stop right in front of the giant oak doors. "You knock." I say. She reaches up and hits twice with her knuckles. I someone yells from inside:

"They're here, Clara! Get your nose out of that book!"

The door opens and standing there are Uncle Charlie, Aunt Lucy, a few other adults, Rochelle, and Clara, who has a Percy Jackson novel tucked under her arm.

"Charlie! Lucy! Miles! Anna!" Our parents come up the walk, carrying suitcases and calling with glee. The adults begin to chatter about things that are really boring. I cross the threshold into the house.

"This is cool!" Harper says, looking around. The entry room is beautiful, with a crystal chandelier hanging from the celing and two polished wood staircases snaking from the sides. The tile floor gleams like new, and shoes are set in neat rows on a small shelf.

"Hi!" The taller cousin—Rachelle—says cheerfully. I look up at her. She's tall.  "D'you want to see your room?"

"Great!" Harper says, kicking off her gold sandals. "Let's go!"

"We'll give you the tour, also." Clara says softly. "There's a lot to see." The girls start running down the hall.

"Wait for me! Wait for me!" I yell, peeling off my velcro sneakers.

Harper pauses just a second. "Let's go now!" And we dash off to begin seeing the sights.

---------

Sorry that was long. I just wanted to get the arriving-and-stuff done with for Ollie and Harper.
