Poem Advice

My local library is holding a poetry contest in late April, and I am most likely entering two of my poems. I'm writing one new one, but the other one will probably be something I've already done. So.....I would like all you fellow writers/friends/Chatterboxers to please go to the thread http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/inkwell/node/11741 (otherwise known as Allison's Writing...). Please tell me, out of the four or however many poems I posted on their, which you think is the best and why. You don't have to do this, it would just be greatly appreciated as I decide which one to enter in the contest! Thank you very much! Smile

Allison, you should really try entering your "I'm Waiting" poem.  IT WAS AWESOME.  Seriously.  It was really well-written, it was pure, and it was true.  I don't mean to sound cheesy, but really, you should.  I loved it. :)

Well, I loved ALL of them! This is hard, but I think it should be the lie poem. That was great, funny, and meaningful. :)

I, too, loved them all, but I'd say the best are the lie poem and the Glory Be. You're splendid at writing poems.

The "In my pen" one is good.

I like your praise be poem. It's funny, Very, very, very true, And it tells you to not mind any things that you don't like because then you wouldn't be able to enjoy the good things that happen in your life.

Thanks for all these suggestions, they're really helpful! Anyone else want to input?

If you still remember your 'banana' poem, you could do that, and title it, Thoughts from a Banana, or something like that.
