WWII RP!I

Chatterbox: Inkwell

WWII RP!I&#3

WWII RP!

I'm creating this RP today in honor of FDR, who died on this day in 1945.

This RP will be about the Allied invasion of France (D-Day) in 1944. Some backround: The invading Allies are Britian, the U.S., and Canada. France is occupied by the Germans and the Allies have been planning the invasion for over a year. They will invade five beaches in Normandy, the northern coast of France, on June 6, 1944.

Okay. Your character can be an Allied soldier, a German soldier, a French civilian and/or spy, or a nurse/doctor/medic. One character per person, please. The limit for now is seven people, but that might get bigger depending on what I decide.

Here's the charrie sheet and my character:

Name: Jerry Meade

Age: 19

Position (if applicable): Private in U.S. Army.

Appearance: Dark curly hair, dark eyes, somewhat shortish.

Personality: Dogged and determined, generally good-natured, with a wry sense of humor, eager to prove himself and very sincere about everything he does.

Bakcground: He's from New England and has three younger brothers and sisters. When this RP starts, he is in southern England with the rest of the Allied army, waiting for the invasion.

Hobbies/skills: A musician; he plays the harmonica for his fellow soldiers; he also has a knack for writing.

What other people think of character: Most people think well of him, but don't have much respect for him.

P.S. You don't need to know much about history to do this RP. Have fun!

Name: Rudy Kloberdanz

Age: 17

Position: Private

Appearance: Dark circles under his eyes, white blond hair and very light blue eyes. Tall, but looks self concious and spaced out.

Personality: He is the type of person that feels every motion and later ponders its meanings. Although he's in the Nazi regime he doesn't believe in Weltpolitik and anti-Semitism. He is a loner and a little awkward with other people.

Background: His grandmother who died before the war was a Jew and he felt strongly for their beliefs however when the draft came he was snatched up as the top of his class. He has a younger sister at home who is an orphan because of the war.

Hobbie/skills: He plays the oboe and is a wonderful storyteller however when it all comes down he really is able to strategize (he is only a private though.)

What other people think: Many think he's a sissie but secretly respect his beliefs.

Has any one read the Book Thief?

Name: Jeanne Battant

Age: 19

Position: French spy

Appearance: She has long wavy blonde hair, and hazel eyes. She is average height, and easily blends into the crowd. She wears a faux green flower in her hair that’s from her mother’s shop.

Personality: She is an inherently cheerful person, and tries not to let anything get her down. Jeanne is devoted to people she’s friends with, and knows to seize the moment, because someday they might be gone. When something bad happens to her, she is extremely emotional for a few days, but then goes back to being her usual self, although she is still upset..

Background: Her father was English, and her mother a French seamstress. Before the War, he left on a short trip to England, and then the Nazi’s invaded, and he couldn’t get back. They tried to escape France, and her mother and her seperated, planning on meeting at a safe house right before the border of Nazi territory. When she got there, her mother was nowhere to be found. Jeanne went back to France, having no way of getting out without her mother. She manages a sewing business of her own now, and primarily works as an informant for the Resistance.

Hobbies/Skills: She can make herself unobtrusive, and is wonderful at getting people to share information without realising they're doing it. She loves to sing and play piano, and used to accompany her dad in duets.

What other people think of character: To the Nazis she is just an inferior French girl. To her fellow fighters she is a trusted source of information.

Is there anything I need to change?
