Argwen RP:So

Argwen RP:

So, the charries live in a world called Argwen. It has eight parts, the western meadows (Evanlop), the eastern mountains (Vivtak), the middle forest (Seftu), the northern desert (Lopi), the northwest lake (Bora), the northeast tundra (Marta), the under kingdom (Damhu), and the sky kingdom (Skara).  Anyone can join, at any point.  One charrie per person.  Argwen's magical castle that holds the world together in Seftu is falling apart, and everyone needs to join forces to find out what is going on.  Not many people live in Vivtak, Seftu, or Evanlop and most of the population is spread out through Lopi, Bora, Marta, Damhu, and Skara.  No one can enter the castle because of a spell that the castle put on itself, except for Emma and Lorcan. Griffins can enter, so the Castle has become a place where griffins live. Emma lives there.  Any questions just ask me.

Name: Emma

Age: 11

Appearance: Dark auburn hair, shoulder length pale,
tall and somewhat thin , a good amount of freckles, medium brown eyes,
medium straight nose, medium lips, pretty wears nice looking but
practical clothing, shoes similar to moccasins

Personality: Very blunt, so much so that people mistake
her for mean, but really she is just painfully truthful and doesn't
hide her opinion, she is stubborn and proud, clever, a strategic
thinker, she enjoys being at the center of attention, she is super loyal
to her friends but slightly needy, she hates being left out, but is a
bit of a hypocrite.  She is in love with nature.  Very powerful for her
age.  Very independent.

Home: Seftu

Skills: Very resourceful, strong, fast, has a way with animals.  can communicate with griffins.  Can make plants grow instantly and has other...powers that will be discovered by others later.  Can climb very well.

Gender: Female

Backstory: She was left in the Castle as a baby and the Castle cared for her until she was old enough to care for herself.

Animal: Griffin named Lorcan.  She has taken care of him since she found his egg in the western meadows.  They bonded right away.  Lorcan is a wild griffin and is very loyal to Emma, who rides him.

Ashlynn~

I seem to have caught them in an unfavorable position.

"Who are you to question me?” he/she asks. "Girls shouldn't be out this time of night, especially near the festival. You're the one doing what you're not supposed to.”

"Oh, so you've never done anything you weren't supposed to do?” I snap back.

He/she goes red. "None of your business.”

"Then that means that what I'm doing is none of your business. And anyways, you shouldn't be out either. I can tell you're a girl.” I add with some satisfaction.

He/she freezes for a moment, which means that I am evidently right. Their disguise wasn’t so clever after all, was it?

He/she scoffs. "What makes you think I'm a girl? My name's Sovann. I've lived here all my life. How could I have gone this far as a girl?”

I roll my eyes. Could it be any more obvious? Rule one of trying to hide something: Don’t constantly deny it.

The griffin suddenly leaps off of the rooftop, and touches down in front of us. Its riders look around frantically, as if they’re not supposed to be here. The boy/girl gasps conspicuously and flattens himself/herself against the wall. I’ve never seen someone that afraid of a griffin before, but then again, I’ve never really seen that many griffins.

He/she stares at the griffin bug-eyed, and opens his/her mouth to speak. But no sound comes out. They must be really terrified.

A lilting voice breaks the silence. It’s Arowyn.

“Who are you, and where have you come from?” she asks, more calmly that I could have ever done.

@ The Riddler, do you want me to refer to your charrie as he or she? I put both just in case, but it gets kinda repetitive.

@ Leeli and the other people in this RP: Please post! Otherwise, we will have to make up dialogue for your charries, and it could get confusing… Two people can’t do an RP alone!!!

Illia:

Two girls get off the griffin, and it takes me a moment to register the fact that anyone could ever ride that thing. They seem to have the griffin under control, it's not attacking anything, but I don't trust it one bit. Then one of the girls breaks the silence. "Who are you and where have you come from?"

I would guess she's talking to the griffin girls, not me. One of them responds, "I'm Emma, and this is Bronwyn. I came from the castle, and she came from Bora, but that's not important right now. Listen, the castle is falling apart, and we really need your help. Please, I don't know why, but Lorcan wouldn't have come here if you weren't important."

"Well," I say, "I guess you two are the important ones. I'm nobody. I suppose I'll just be going then! Goodbye, nice meeting you, and have fun getting caught." As I turn to leave, the griffin darts infront of me and blocks my path. I scramble backwards as quickly as I can and glare at Emma and Bronwyn. "Look, why don't you abduct these two on your creature and leave me in peace? I'm not getting on that thing!"

Suddenly voices appear behind us - people coming back from the festival. "Well it doesn't look like you have much choice!" said Bronwyn brightly. The other two girls were already sitting astride the griffin, already having agreed to come. As the festival goers round the corner, the griffin takes off, grabbing me in his enormous claws. I yell as the ground benteath me shrinks rapidly, and I leave behind the only place I've ever known.

Ashlynn~

The girl with auburn hair responds.

"I'm Emma, and this is Bronwyn. I came from the castle, and she came from Bora, but that's not important right now. Listen, the castle is falling apart, and we really need your help. Please, I don't know why, but Lorcan wouldn't have come here if you weren't important.”

"Well,” he/she says, "I guess you two are the important ones.” I suppose he/she’s referring to Arowyn and me "I'm nobody,” he/she continues, "I suppose I'll just be going then! Goodbye, nice meeting you, and have fun getting caught.”

Emma’s griffin, Lorcan immediately darts in front of him/her and blocks their path. He/she scrambles backwards quickly, and glares at us.

"Look, why don't you abduct these two on your creature and leave me in peace? I'm not getting on that thing!”

Shouts emerge from the distance. They’ve seen us. We have to get out, quickly, and I’m pretty sure that we’re going with Emma and Bronwyn.

Arowyn grabs my hand, and we both climb onto the griffin. The festival goers round the corner screaming and brandishing torches. That can’t be good.

Lorcan flaps his wings expectantly, as if he were waiting for someone.

“Hurry!” Emma urges. “They’re coming!” Lorcan takes off with a rush, and after a second thought, grabs Sovann ( screaming all the while) in his claws.

~~

I wake up to the sight of a clear blue sky. The sun shines brightly, so we’re definitely not in Vivtak. I peel off my parka.

“Where are we?” I ask Emma, who’s the only one awake at the moment. She looks around, taking in all of the sights.

“I’m not sure.” she responds. “But Lorcan must’ve wanted something here, or else he wouldn’t stop here. " Suddenly, we hear the whinnies of what seems to be a horse. Emma looks at me, and I know we’re thinking the exact same thing.

~~

A girl’s voice breaks the silence of the gloomy forest.

“No! Don’t come near!” she shrieks. “I’ll scare your horse off!”

“Why do you say that?” It’s a new voice. Deeper, and probably a boy’s.

“Horses hate me.” She responds, almost mournfully, “And most dogs, too.”

I don’t hear the rest of the conversation, because I’m too busy trying to get a closer look at the horse. I love horses, and don’t see them often.

“Ashlynn.” Emma hisses. “What are you doing?”

“Shhh. . . “ I put my finger to my lips. “I’m trying to get a closer look at whomever’s talking.”

“Careful. . There’s a root right there!” Emma yells.

But her warning’s too late. I tumble through the bush and land with a crash in front of a boy, a girl, and horse- no- a pegasus.

@Cho, maybe you could post something off of this. . .

Illia~

As soon as the griffin touches down I roll away from it and stand up. "Well, thank you for that, I really did enjoy being taken against my will and dragged off to wherever we are, but I will be going now. Thank you." I turn and walk off into the forest. I don't care where I'm  going, as long as it's away from them. Once I find a village I can find my way back to Vivtak. I hear unfamiliar voices from back where I came from, and nobody notices I'm gone. I hear a shriek and a crash, but I don't care. I'm angry that the girls had caught me at my worst, off guard and not ready to employ my full deceptive skills at being a boy like I had done to everyone else. Add a griffin in there and, well, I wasn't exactly acting at my fullest, was I? Looking around, I found the tallest tree that I could, and climbed to the top. The branches at the top wouldn't be able to hold most people, but I am small for my age and the branch easily holds my weight. Lots of forests... looks like Seftu. And if we're in Seftu, that means that I should travel east, towards the sun. But just as I begin climbing down the ground gives a violent shudder, and I am thrown from my tree and fall quickly down to the  forest floor, just barely grabbing at a branch to stop me from hitting the ground. My breath catches in my throat as white hot pain spreads through my shoulder and into my arm. I drop the remaining short distance to the ground. My shoulder hangs loosely off my side and shifts painfully, like whatever it was that was holding it in place had snapped. Whatever. I had felt pain before, right? It will fix itself. Hopefully. So, clutching my shoulder, I continue on my way back to Vivtak, never once wondering what it was that had caused the earth to shake.
