Chatterbox: Inkwell

Chatterbox Fantasy Reality Roleplay!

Long, improved title...Check!

So this roleplay is exactly what it sounds like! Confusing! It is my birthday roleplay too, :D Which I have dubbed a tradition.

With
a yawn, you woke up. It was a lovely day with the sun shining through
the window, and that reminded you of the Chatterbox! It was an odd way
to be reminded of something, but it wasn't your fault. So of course,
naturally, the first thing you did was grab your computer and open it
up, still in bed. The website was one of your most viewed, and you
clicked it. The link led to the inkwell, where a new roleplay caught
your eye.

Fantasy Roleplay!

Name:

Age:

Personality:

Appearance:

Magic:

Weapons:

Skills:

P.S. Base your character off of you. Basically a fantasy, past version of yourself.

There
wasn't much there, not much to go off, but it still looked pretty cool.
Yourself in medieval times! So without a second thought, you began to
fill out the form. It didn't take long, and you added a couple comments
and questions. Next came filling out the captcha. So that is what you
did.

help

It spelled a word! A weird word, nonetheless, but it was pretty cool! You typed it in, and then pressed the submit button.

That
was when everything went wrong. When consciousness suddenly fled from
your physical body, leaving you lifeless in your bed, surrounded by
blackness. Moments later you woke.

In a whole new world.

I
hope this makes sense everybody! You have to fill out the form ^ for
the roleplay as a part of the roleplay. Basicaly the first thing you
write WILL be roleplay, and you fill out the form IN the roleplay! Ha
ha, great, right?

Kira~

And it all comes rushing back. I am Kira, the daughter of a (mainly) succesful merchant.

And I can speak to animals. No one else knows that except for me. And I plan to keep it that way. "Now then, you say that bird stole your food, Sapphire?" I ask the bluebird.

"Yes, that one," Sapphire replies, with a high-pitched trill.

"It doesn't matter. Help yourself to more food." I gesture at the bug pile, and turn to go to the house. Father should've made up his mind about letting me help him trade his wares at Cili by now.

I'm sorry it's so short, the tab got deleted as well as most of my progress.

Flipping open the lid of my computer, I press the 'c' key on my computer and go to Cricket. As I browse the assortment of RP's, art threads, and word games, a thread titled "Fantasy RP" catches my eye. I click on it, smiling. I always love a new roleplay, and when it's fantasty, even better! I scroll down, reading the charrie sheet, then hastily fill it out.

Name: Mallow Addinell (not my real name, but Mallow's the name of a character from Happy Happy Clover and I like it)

Age: 14

Personality: Shy, kind, awkward around people but more comfortable around animals, especially foxes, dogs, and wolves, bright and cheerful but can become cold when someone she loves is hurt.

Appearance: Short cream-colored hair, soft, sky-blue eyes, freckles, shorter than most people

Magic: Kind of like a chameleon, where she can blend in to any background. Not turning invisible, just changing her skin to the exact color and shade so she is almost invisible. Limits are that she causes a little wave in the air and you could see her outline when she's weak.

Weapons: A few vials of poison in a pouch she carries around varying in deadliness and use, darts she shoots from a blowdart.

Skills: Can move silently, has very good aim, thoughtful

Other: She has an eighteen-year-old sister named Lavender. They live in the woods without their parents, near the town. Lavender is a seamsteress's apprentice, which is how she pays for her little sister and her.

Pleased with my entry, I scrolled down to the bottom to fill out the CAPTCHA. "Hey," I said out loud, surprised by what I saw there. Vixtion'd said a word! She had said 'ruby' and 'take' before, but this one was very different. "Help?" I murmured. How queer.... "Oh, well, it's just a CAPTCHA and a funny coincidence." I pressed submit, and a dizzying pain hit my head like a hammer. I clawed weakly at my computer, but everything faded ti an inky darkness.

~~

Mallow

~~

I press a hand to my forehead, feeling woozy. I'm sitting beneath a large tree, its shade cool on my pounding head. Shakily I get to my feet, putting a hand out of the tree to support myself. Everything feels surreal and strange, as if I'm not supposed to be here. I brush my white-blonde hair out of my face, ignoring the feelingof oddness that my hair is that short and bright. I feel... I don't like, like I was taken out of myself and put into someone else. But yet, it feels good here. Like I am here?... I shake my head. Lavender always says I think too much. Lavender...

That's a familiar name. My sister, that's who. I think? As if on cue, a tall girl with light brown hair in a braid comes running out of the forest. "Mallow!" she cries. Is my name Mallow? I think. It must be, because she sighs with relief when she sees me. "Thank goodness you're alright. You'd been in here so long, I was afraid you'd gone into town, and on a coronation day no less."

"Coronation? Town?" I say, still feeling slightly punchdrunk. Lavender's face creases with worry. "Are you feelin alright?" she asks. "Of course, coronation day. For the princess. We'd best stay away, though, even if you can become sightless.

Right... sightless is what she calls it. Once we reach our tiny home, I slip inside the door, feeling very uncharacteristically awkward, which is odd. Normally I feel brave and confident, but now I just feel like blending into the background. What has happened to me, and what will happen now that I'm here?

Note, I realize Coconut the Dog has made a charrie that can speak to animals, I decided to switch my power to being able to grow plants quickly and out of nowhere. If that's too OP, I can change it anytime.

-----

Novelizabeth: I don't remember much. It was weird. My CAPTCHA, on the amazing CB, the thing that I named Wubdub, who turned into a baby griffin, spoke.

It said help.

At first I thought it was just a coincidence. But help. I word that means so much, and yet is very mysterious. And then I clicked submit.

My mind raced between the real world and dreaming; odd memories flashed before my eyes as they closed. I wasn't sure which were real and what weren't, for whatever was goung on was scary. As my eyelids grew heavy I could feel myself falling. Onto what, though? In my mind it felt like I was jumping from a waterfall, diving into its crystal-clear water. But the scene flashed again, and I could see myself simply landing on my soft bedding.

When I finally landed, I realized nothing switched back again. I opened my eyes, feeling my body being quickly submerged in liquid. It gently cradled me, slowly rocking back and forth, the waves carrying me somewhere unknown.

I gasped and began to flail. I kicked and shouted, about to swim up. Instead, I kinda wish I could just grab onto a plant and let it drag me to dry ground. Somehow, I became very tired all of a sudden.

Just then, as my head begins to sink underwater, I can hear an odd sound in the shrubbery. A long, thin arm hasitly plunges into water, and winds itself around me. At first I assume it's a slithering snake, but then I feel it's smooth, scale-less skin.

A tree vine? I wonder.

I gasp for air as the plant heaves me onto the surface. It quickly lets go of my torso and shrinks away back into the the deep jungle.

"What has happened?" I ask aloud. "Oh gosh. I know this isn't a dream . . ."

Suddenly, I hear a group of loud horns blow in the distance. Guessing that there is civilization near there, I try to summon a large plant to carry me towards it.

For a moment, nothing comes creeping out.

"Come on," I say.

I think harder and reach out my hand, as if that's really going to help.

A rustling sound is heard, and unexpectedly, a giant, leafy rose bush shoots out.

"Whoa!"

I duck just in time, barely missing being impaled by the thorns.

I try again several times and end up being almost killed.

I guess I still need to work on it. I shrug.

Looks like I'll be walking.

Actually Novelist,

I hope you don't mind, but can you please change your power again? I kind of already called that power. Check back on page two of this thread. Thank you!

Maybe you could only be able to summon/control plants and talk to certain animals? Just a thought.

Sorry it's taken me so long to post, but I'm here!

Kayla~

I wake up early, before anyone else in my house. It's Saturday morning, and I don't have to go to school, so I open up my laptop and get on the chatterbox. There's a new RP, made by a CBer I've never heard of before. I'm already in too many RPs to count, but this one's fantasy! I love fantasy! What's one more RP? I quickly fill out the charrie sheet and submit it. As I type in my CAPTCHA, I giggle slightly. Misty says 'help'. My lop-eared rabbit has only said a word once, I think it was 'yard'.

"What do you need help with, Misty?" I laugh as I press 'submit'. Suddenly, everything goes dark, and a stinging spreads from the finger I pressed the button with all through my body. It starts out as a soft tingling, but grows to a fierce burn that I can hardly stand. The pain grows so intense that I black out.

~~~
I wake up in the middle of a forest. My hair is tied in a loose bun, and I'm wearing a blue shirt and black pants. There's a sword strapped to my back, and I'm wearing tall brown leather boots that I've never seen in my life.
I stand up, and immediately feel dizzy. I want to sit back down and fall asleep, but I need to figure out where I am. There's nothing around me except trees, so I pick a random direction and walk that way, hoping to reach some sort of civilization. I have nothing to lose.
Sorry for not posting sooner, I haven't been on the CB for a while.
Grace~
I wake up on Saturday morning and look at the clock. It's 7:30 AM. Normally I would lie around for a while before doing anything, but  today I have to get on the CB. Yesterday while I was exploring Inkwell I noticed a new Fantasy RP. I excitedly clicked on it, but right as I was about to submit the charrie form, my iPad died. I rewrite the charrie form, type in the CAPTCHA, which says help, and press submit. Then I start to feel like I'm falling and everything goes black.
~~~~~~~~~

When I regain consciousness, I find myself lying on a hard cobblestone pathway. Then I notice what I'm wearing. It's a puffy pink dress with lace and a shiny pink bow. Ugh. I hate clothes that make me feel like an overdressed doll, and why did it have to be pink? At least I could have possibly tolerated blue, but pink? No way. Well, I'll definitely have to find some new clothes, but first I need to find out where I am.

|Lírdes|

I climb into the carriage, my head aching horribly. I hug myself, peering out the window. Now that I think of it, I'm tired.

And without warning, I fall asleep. I wake up later, to find myself in Cili.* I look out the window to a sickening sight.

Many Ren--what's it called? Oh yes, they're called Renopi.** Many Renopi are being hung above the streets in cages. A large, noisy crowd has gathered to see me -- and the other ambassadors -- arrive. But quite a few of them are jeering at the Renopi.

A boy is curled up in his cage, covered in a brown pelt, fast asleep. He must be a Beropi.*** Part bear and part human.

A girl nearby is rocking about in her cage-- as if she's dizzy. It must be the drugs. I look back at the boy. Is that sleep normal, or is he drugged?

I turn back to look at the girl. Her shirt looks as if it were made out of feathers. White ones, streaked with brown in certain places. Her tight leggings are the same color brown as her shirt. And-- she has wings. Glorious, sweeping wings.

She's a Biriopi.**** Very rare, and oh, so, beautiful. Tears fill my eyes. Why must something so beautiful be imprisoned? Why must people capture them and let them die? The Renopi just give up and die.

No one should ever do such a cruel thing. A large man pushes through the crowd, towards the Biriopi. He unties the rope and-- it's too late. She's out of sight. The carriage has moved too far. I twist around, hoping to catch one last glimpse.

I see her, her arms being twisted into an uncomfortable position so she cannot run away. A loud, piercing shriek reaches my ears-- a shriek of pain. The man starts dragging her towards a wagon where several other Renopi lie, unconsious.

He slams her head into the side of the wagon, and it lolls to the side. I bite back a scream of my own at this injustice.

Emmilia~

When I open my eyes, the first thing I notice is the pain in my lower back. "Ouch!" I say, sitting up and rubbing the sore spot. Where am I? Who am I? I'm resting on a bed made of wood, covered in a thin layer of hay, and for some reason I feel lucky to have it. Well, that's where my back pain came from. As I survey the room, I notice my reflection in a cracked mirror in a dusty corner. My hair and face look the same, except that my glasses are gone. I'm wearing a plain light-blue blue dress that does not belong to me, and a pair of old boots that I've never seen before. Um, I never wear dresses unless it's necessary. I mean, I like them, but... not really my style. This dress has pockets, though, and it's pretty comfortable, so I can make do. I just hope I don't have to fight anyone.

Wait. Fighting? Where did that idea come from? I've never fought anyone in my li- oh. It all makes sense now. I remember everything. My name is Emmilia di Angelo, and I am the daughter of a poor tailor. We live in a small hut near the edge of the town. And, there's a coronation today.

      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
   April~    As I open my eyes I groan. I wonder how long I've been sitting against this tree. I'm all sore.  Wait. Why am I sitting here? Instantly the answer comes to mind.  I was fixing my arrow.  Sure enough a arrow lies in my lap.  Then hundreds of questions came flooding in.  Who am I?  What's my name?  Where's my family?
Slowly,the answers come.
   I'm April Merril, a peasant girl who lives just outside the village.  My sister is working in the village, or is she home now?  What time is it? I curse as I look at the rapidly sinking sun.  I'm supposed to be making dinner, but my sister will be home soon.  I better hurry.  As I hurry down the trail, my feet moving as silently as usual, a rabbit pops out of the bushes.  I immediately freeze, hoping the rabbit won't run away.  Quickly, I load my sling, using my powers to muffle the sound.  Wait. My powers?  Whatever, I'll worry about that later.  Right now, I need to get this rabbit.  Aiming carefully, I swing and release.  The rock hurtles through the air and crashes into the rabbit, killing it instantly.  Grinning, I put away my sling and head toward the rabbit.
   "April! I'm home! Where are you?" comes Amy's voice.  Amy? Oh, right. My sister. I grab my bow and the rabbit.  "Coming," I yell. I head down the trail towards home.
