Chatterbox: Inkwell

Revolution RP.

My first time making my own RP. Yay!

This RP takes place in the fantasy Kingdom Jorna. The Government is ruled by a council consisting of twelve members, all from the Ruling families. The eldest child of each former member replaces their parent in the Council at the age of sixteen. Those who are to succeed their parent are tutored from an early age to serve their families needs. The people on the Council are little more than pawns of their relatives.

The citizens are very poor due to cruel and oppressive leaders. A revolt is forming, and citizens are beginning to take sides. The symbol for the Revolution is a red rose, the government's crest is a white one. At first, the Revolutionaries are good and just, but they begin to be more fueled with the desire for revenge against those who oppressed them, then for better lives for themselves and their families. Innocent people are caught up in the conflict, and the government becomes paranoid.

The setting is around what we would consider the 1700s. Twelve people can join.  Two charries max please, and be creative!

Here’s the charrie sheet:

Great charrie! The great thing about this being fantasy is you don't need to do a whole lot of research. You're welcome to look about the 1700s if you want to be more accurate, but it's not required.

Here's my charrie!

Name: Sparrow 'Bess' Bristow

Age: 15

Gender: F

Appearance: See pic.

Personality: Sharp, and quick-witted. She's more of a listener than a talker. She's also very fearful that her father is getting too involved with the Revolutionaries, but she is afraid to tell him this, for the fear that he'll tell his superiors, and they'll take her away.

Backstory: A simple farm girl, but the farm is falling into further and further disrepair, as her father doesn't worry about it now. And she can't exactly manage the farm herself. Her mother died when bearing her.

Position: A simple civilian.

Other: N/A

I might make a rich child later.

I reserve two charries!

I will submit the second later.

Yay, I've been waiting for an opportunity to use these two charries...

Charrie #1

NAME: Jeneva Amaranth AKA Jenny

AGE: 13, almost 14

GENDER: Female

APPEARANCE:

Will submit picture later.

PERSONALITY:

Shy, quiet, does not voice her opinion very strongly. She doesn't let them know what she's against or what she's for. A little sad, but tries to lead a normal life as possible. Well, if you could call living under a n oppressive Government normal.

BACKSTORY:

She doesn't side with any one side...but of course, if asked by a regular citizen or someone close to the Government she's like um, no, I've never caused trouble and don't wish to cause trouble. She says the same thing to the Rebels. She just tries to stay out of that kind of thing in general. Has never assisted any Rebels, because she has never needed to. She has learned, the hard way, to keep her mouth shut when it could get her killed. Fools who run their mouths off wind up dead. At this point, the revolution is not too close to where she is...yet. The Governments' army is strong, so Jeneva sees it as the side that will remain in power. So she is careful not to have anything to do with the rebels.

Now for her background. Why she is this way.

*rubs hands together gleefully*

She lives alone. She used to have two parents. They died. She also had a sister, Gwen, who ran away.

Her mother, Meliana, was an activist, anonymously publishing illegal brochures against the Government. She was not as into fighting and destroying the government with weapons; rather, she believed in the power of words to motivate people. Her father, Georyn, was more neutral. Gwen, always the quick-witted, sharp-tongued, passionate and extroverted child, took after Meliana in that way. Jeneva was more quiet and reserved, like her father. But the two sisters were still best of friends.

There were so many close calls with her mother- almost being discovered. Jeneva's parents started arguing a lot, her father upset that Melania would put herself and the family in danger, and scared for her, Meliana insisting that they must do what was right.

Then somehow Melania was discovered. Soldiers found her and killed her on the spot, as well as Georyn.

Jeneva and Gwen managed to escape without the soldiers seeing them. They decided to lay low for about a year. Then things started going even more downhill.

Both sisters were drastically affected by their parents' deaths. Jeneva was heartbroken, and terrified. To her, the event taught her that she shouldn't speak up against something that was never going to be defeated. She avoided saying her mother's name, in fact, she was actually angry at her mother for putting them in danger, letting her dear father get killed.

Gwen took the opposite approach. To her, the event only proved that she should fight against the tyranny of the Government.

Jeneva would argue and argue over this, until one day it got so bad that Gwen decided to join the rebels, wherever they were.

Jeneva never saw her again.

POSITION: Un-involved civilian (but you know I'm not gonna let that last very long, right? I am going to throw her into something. Hehehehe)

Charrie #2

NAME: Gwendolyn Amarath, but she always goes by Gwen

AGE: 14

GENDER: Female

APPEARANCE:

Gwen

PERSONALITY:

Like her mother. Quick-witted, sharp-tongued, passionate and extroverted. Not
smart in an intellectual way, rather she is smart in a survival sort of way, a
fast thinker. She still has a lot to learn, though.

BACKSTORY:

See Jenny’s backstory.

POSITION:

Gwen is hiding out with the Rebels. She is what she calls a "runner" for the Rebels, meaning she hasn't actually been in a battle yet, but instead does a lot of work spying on the Government and finding out what Villagers will turn them in and which Villagers won't. Also, there are two farmers loyal to their cause that they can usually get food from (hey...can this be Posy's mom and Sparrow's dad?), but lately one of the farmers has fallen on hard times, and the Rebels don't want to ask too much of the other farmer, so sometimes Gwen has to steal food. She never steals from poor, always from rich but lesser known people that are loyal to the Government.

OTHER: N/A

Awesome charrie, Owlgirl! Could Anthea be an information gatherer she reports to? Your charries are both really cool.
