Chatterbox: Inkwell

Curse RP!

I was looking through old threads, as I found an RP made by Carolion K(It’s spelled that way), and thought it was such a good idea that I just had to remake it!

This one will be a little different than Carolion’s, though. I copy pasted a bit of her RP here:

Ever since they were born, they have struggled with the Secret. They have known that they will never fit in, never have a normal life, because when they turn sixteen, they will have their curse activated. So, they do everything they can -- isolate themselves, don't talk much, leave their old lives and start anew. But the secret always follows them. The curse always follows them.

And it won't stay hidden forever....

But in this one, it was a witch, a little girl at that, who put the Curse on all of them. If they can find the little girl and kill her, they can stop it. They don’t have much time. They’re going to be sixteen soon. They just met each other.

It’s going to be extremely hard to kill her, since she looks so cute and innocent.

Also, the charries don’t know that she lives in Mongolia. . .

Charrie sheet:

Name:

Gender:

Number of days until 16th birthday:

Appearance:

Personality:

Curse:

My charrie:

Name: ALTANSARNAI Chinbat (I thought that if the charries went to Mongolia, we’d probably need a Mongolian)

Gender: Female

Number of days until 16th birthday: 12

Appearance: Dark skin, oval face, short, shiny, straight black hair

Personality: Kind of a show-off, she didn’t get much attention at home. (Telling any relative about the curse would activate it early.) Her parents are always away, and when they aren’t, they’re giving attention to her younger sister. She’s a really good friend, though.

Curse: Once she turns sixteen, she’ll turn invisible, never to be seen again. She craves attention.

Um, guys. . . ? How does everyone know that Altansarnai is Mongolian? Wouldn't they think she was Chinese or something?

oh.....er...uh....Idk, Mei-Xue. Good point. Sorry. Um, pretend that all of the Mongolain in my comment is Asian. >_< Sorry!!!

Wren~

I followed the group in the back, never taking my eyes off the Asian girl. She was obviously the undisputed leader of them, and as we gathered more and more kids I realized none of them dared to question her. After we had everyone, we all headed behind the forest.

Ginger~

Harlan seems nice enough. A part of me dreads the day he'll fade from my memory, and everyone else's. That Curse makes mine look like child's play.

As we walk behind the woods, I hear a growl, and something animal pins me to the ground-

Wren~

I hear a scream and I whirled around.

Ginger is being held to the ground by a seriously angry wolf. I gasped and froze.

"No sudden movements!" I hissed to everyone. I saw the Asian roll her eyes and open her mouth, but one boy covered it and shook his head. I resisted the urge to cry out thank you, and walked slowly over to Ginger and the wolf. Slowly and carefully, I backed away behind them and whistled. The humongous wolf kept his paws on Ginger and turned around. When he saW me, he barked. I ran.

I heard the sound of paws running after me and continued running. After a few minutes, I weaved in and out of trees. Finally, the paws behind me stopped, and I ran flat out back towards our group. Once I got back, Ginger hugged me. I panted.

"Youre...welcome.." I said. The world went dizzy. Then everything turned black.

(Hey Mei, what if they all became 16 on the same day? Things would be simplified greatly then)

Wolf. Ginger. Wren. Danger. My mind is whirling. What the heck just happened? I can hardly move. Ginger is shaking, but she puts a brave face on. Everyone looks traumatized. What was that wolf thinking and why did it attack us? I know that wild animals (except for the more territorial ones like hippopotamuses) stay passive if you don't pose a threat. Something must've been wrong with that wolf.

But what?

AHHHHHHHH I ALMOST FORGOT AND I"VE BEEN SO BUSSYY

Anyway, here is mine:

~~

I'm bored at this meeting. The kids have no idea what to talk about. They're just like staring at each other and shifting nervously in their seats. I don't see the use of this place anyway. All of our cures are going to be activated anyway in a few days. It's inevitable, so what's the big deal?

Bored, I slip out the door unnoticed and walk down the empty streets, passing rows of houses. It was hard enough to get my parents to send me to (where ever we are) from all the way from Mexico. Good thing I taught myself how to speak English. I just cannot belive that meeting wasn't worth more . . .

I'm also surprised there weren't more people at the group. I thought the magical brochure I received had a list of several more names. I shrug and quicken my pace as a near an area with lots of trees and grass. I hear a faint rustle in the bushes, and my sharp eyes notice a human foot sticking out from it. I stop for a second and ignore them, then continue walking.

But suddenly, a soft growl makes me spin my head around. A fierce wolf is approaching them, and the figure, five kids, pop up, a scared look in their eyes. One of them tells the others to not make a sound, but suddenly the wolf charges. The girl runs away, the animal getting closer and closer.

Finally, after a few minutes, they're both out of sight in a cluster of shrubbery and trees. Finally, I see the girl slowly coming out, all in one piece thankfully. Her chest is heaving up and down, and she looks very worn out.

"I think I lost it," she says.

I overhear their conversation and hear them question why the wolf abruptly approached them.

"Maybe," I say, walking over. "It smelled a fox."

Lukas looks at me and scrunched up his mouth. "That's a bit rude, don't you think?"

"We're all rude, kid. It's perfectly possible. Our sixteenth birthday is coming up, right?"

"Oh my gosh!" says Wren, "you're a cursed too?"

I nod solemnly. "Yes, I am. As I was saying, with our curses being activated soon, their power might seep out a little. You might start smelling like a territorial fox soon. And that's supposed to be taken literally."

Lukas stares at me for a second and uickly looks away. I think I can see a teardrop forming in his eye...

I shake my head. "Well, there's nothing we can do about it, right?"

Yeah! I think that we should all have our sixteenth birthdays on the same day. That would make things a lot simpler.

Harlan

We are once again in a group. A couple new people have joined us, and we've learned that their birthdays will be on the same day as ours. It's really strange to think about... We all have the same birthday, same year, and we're all Cursed. I hope we can stay together long enough to kill the witch, and it seems as though we'll be good friends.

~The Next Day~

I wake up, blinking sleepily. I rub my eyes, looking around. Where am I and who are these people? And then it all comes rushing back. Sixteen. The Curse. Ginger. Everyone. Mostly Ginger though. I stand up, surveying my surroundings. We set up a camp in the woods because it was too late to go anywhere. It seems like I'm the first to wake up. I sit down to wait.

Most of the other people are awake now. They've begun to mill around, packing things up. And then it happens.

Ginger walks up to me. Curiosity bordering on suspicion fills her eyes. "Er.... Who are you and how did you find us?"

"Yes," an Asian girl--Her name was Altan-something--chimes in. "Why are you here?"

I sit back in stunned disbelief. Are their memories really that bad? And then it hits me. Sixteen. Today's the day. I look down at my hand, half expecting it to turn to mist and drift away.

"I'm Harlan Rain," I tell them. "I'm Cursed too. I'm sixteen. And from this moment on, you will never remember me."
