Chatterbox: Inkwell

Boarding School RPG Part Two

Ok, so this is the second part of the Boarding School story. Some new people can join, but I have the information for the people who already have joined.

Rules:

Let’s keep the attempted murders to a minimum.

No getting mad because I have let new people join.

Have fun!

Plot:

So in the start of the Boarding School RPG, students were invited to a boarding school. They went, and were surprised to find that the classes were run by special students, and only one topic was taught to people, depending on their interests.

Now, some new students have been invited to the College for the Exceptionally Bright, along with the original students. There are students in charge of each dormitory, I call them NPCs, and they teach their dormitory part of the time. The dormitories are:

Math, run by Abby

Writing, run by Gared

Art, run by Lillian

PE, run by Thomas.

Think Harry Potter houses.

So half the time, the classes will be taught by the respective NPC, while the other half, professors will lecture.

So, if you are new, here is the character sheet:

Name

Age: (14-16)

Gender

Appearance

Personality

What dormitory are you in? Math, Writing, PE, Art

Plotline: Is your character more interested in the academics, or the social aspect of the college?

Pets: Max. three

Other

You are allowed to have as many characters as you want.

So, there will be references to the original story, but new people will be able to catch on. This is an RPG, or RP, so please stay on. Please, do not quit. I like feedback, so always speak up.

Note: The last one got fairly dark, be prepared for anything.

Alright, let’s begin!

Ok, more later. I have some other stuff to finish. Also, will everyone please come back? I have sheets and sheets of charries with no active owner.

“Attention: all students. You will be allowed to go to London tomorrow afternoon. Also, there will be a dance. Thank you” The loudspeaker blared. GAred was watching his students, currently Art, write from over their shoulders. He occasionally grabbed a paper and threw it across the room. “Can’t you write something that is different than the example I gave you?” GAred would shout.

~Dean’s Office~

“Yes, yes. Going to plan” A voice murmurs.

Walking into school, I study everyone. There's a huge kid, Thomas, who I have been warned to watch out for. I get the feeling we might have some disagreements...

I find a note in my room. Something about a dance.

No way am I dancing with anyone. Or asking anyone to a dance.

Sorry if that's short I have to go.

~Lillian~

I hate this new college. Gared has been so hard on the PE and my kids. But he is so nice to the Art kids. Humph.

~Gared~

So now I am supposed to find a partner for another dance? But who?

@Gared, this is Daisy.

Please please please make your long post you promised us! This just can't die! *sobs*

Also, sorry if this is too controlling, but I needed to write something dramatic to get this show on the road.

Cleo~

Thomas still hates me. At least, that's what I am assuming. We are walking in a crowd of people, with Thomas at the front, leading us to PE. I am behind him and he keeps looking over his shoulder at me, then gets this look of revengeful triumph. He is still trying to get back at me from the Boarding school. Great. Especially since he knows I am afraid of heights. Sure enough, the first thing we have to do is climb a 50ft rockwall.

"Climb to the top and ring the bell." He announces to us. He gives me a 'sweet' smile and says, "Why don't you show us how it's done, Cleo." It's a voice of challenging command. I hesitate, then walk up, trembling, to the wall. I strap myself in tightly, and begin to climb oh so slowly. After about 10 feet, I look down. Bad idea. I immadiately grow dizzy and quickly make my descent. Thomas pounces on me and says silkily, "Detention, Cleo. My office, after the rest of the class finishes."

The rest of the class casts sympathetic glances in my direction. They all manage to climb to the top. I watch them, cringing. After PE was over, Thomas beckons me into his office. I gulp, and walk in unwillingly. He says to me, in a soft, dangerous voice, "You couldn't climb to the top, Cleo. Now tell me, why not?" Like you don't know. I think to myself.

But I answer him as respectfully as I can; after all, he IS a teacher. "I am afraid of heights." "You will address me as Sir." "Yes, sir." "Now, I am your PE teacher. Let's work through this. Come on." "Where are we going?" "To the rock wall." He tosses at me over his shoulder. "No." "What?" "I said no. I will not be going. I am afraid of heights and will not be climbing anymore. At least for today. And that's final, Thomas." "Sir." "There's no need to call me sir, professor." His face turns purple with rage. "Why you little-"

Kestrel~

Well. The first day of school was definitely interesting. Art is a fun enough group to be in. At least, the people are nice. Colege is still really stressful, though. And now I have to find a partner for the dance. Great. No boy has even talked to me yet, let alone asked me to the dance. I sigh aloud. Sasha, who had been hopping around my room for the first day of school, was now becoming increasingly restless. "Alright, Sasha. I'll go see if I can find someplace to let you fly."

I thought about the layout of the school, wondering where I could go to let Sasha fly. I didn't really feel like going outside... But was there anyplace indoors that had high ceilings? I prctically felt the lightbulb go on above my head- I had thought of the perfect place. I got up from where I had been listening to Hamilton on the floor of my dorm room, and headed for the door. It was after learning hours, so the halls were fairly empty, as everyone was either hanging out with friends, or outside. As I made my way through the school, I started to zone out, which is why I didn't notice the boy I bumped into until... Well, until I crashed into him. For the second time that day, Sasha was startled off of her seat on my shoulder and flew to perch on the rim of a waterfountain instead. "Sorry!" I yelped, looking up. He didn't appear to be in a rush anywhere, which made me feel relieved. That meant he shouldn't be as annoyed with me for hitting him. The boy laughed good-naturedly and said, "It's fine. Aren't your from Art? What are you doing in this section of the school? That door over there is the door to the gym. Not the art studio," he laughed again.

"I-I, was, um, going to fly my falcon, Sasha, in the gym. I'm not much of an outdoors person, unless I'm with my friends, but... Well, I'm rather shy, so I haven't made any friends yet." I stammered, my face heating up.

"Well, alright then. Consider me your friend now. I'll see you around, right?"

I smile, "Sure. I'll come here to fly Sasha everyday, most likely. Unless I decide to go outside."

"Bye," he says.

I wave goodbye and head owards the door he indicated. Then I almost kick myself. I didn't tell him my name! Or ask about his... I turn to call him back, but he's already vansihed. I sigh. Oh, well.

As I enter the gym, with Sashs on my shoulder again, I am startled to see a teacher with astudent over their shoulder. They are shouting at each other.

"No!" the girl shouts.

"What?" he nearly hisses.

"I said no. I will not be going. I am afraid of heights and will not be climbing anymore. At least for today. And that's final, Thomas."

"Sir." Thomas reples sharply.

"There's no need to call me sir, professor." the girl shoots back.

His face turns purple with rage. "Why you little-"

"Um, excuse me?" I call out. "Is it okay if I fly my falcon in here?" I try to catch the girl's eye. I want to talk to her once the teacher leaves.

Thomas looks indecisive. He clearly wants to finish this, but doesn't want me here to witness  it.

"I'm sure there is someone here that I can talk to about a teacher treating a student this way, yes? If I were you, I would set the girl down and leave peacefully. Then, I might consider keeping my mouth shut about whatever this is." Sasha screeches softly, as if to back up my words.

Thomas glares at me, and I return his gaze defiantly. No one deserves to be forced to do something they are afraid to do. With a growl, Thomas sets the girl down. He whispers something in her ear, then stalks towards the door. Just before he gets there, I call out, "Oh, and sir? I wouldn't like to have to see with you treating people this way again. Otherwise, I may not be able to control my mouth." I let a mocking note enter my oice as I say 'sir'. Thomas sneers something at me, but I don't hear it as I turn to the girl. Sasha has already lifted off and is circling the large, high gym on some invisible draft.

Please, don't let this thread die, people! Top!

AWESOME KESTREL THANK YOU SO MUCH! Sorry for the caps but that was great.

Cleo~

A girl comes into the gym with Thomas and I yelling at each other. She pauses, clearly unaware what she's gotten herself into. I motion violently for her to get out because I would hate for another student for Thomas to pick on. She doesn't notice and goes on, threatening him. As I listen, I slowly start to grin.

Now this is a girl who can stand up for herself. I like her already. She's super cool, too, with her falcon. She finally stops scolding Thomas and he is speechless. Then he lets go of me and whispers, See you around. Next time, you won't be so lucky. And the rockwall isn't going anywhere anytime soon, girl.

He leaves the gym, closing her door with a murderous glance and a SLAM!

The girl walks over to me. "Hi, I'm Kestrel." She says.

"Nice to meet you, Kestrel. Thanks for that. Thomas really hates me ever since our old school together. You don't even want to know what happened. By the way, I'm Cleo. That's an awesome falcon you have there. What's her name?"

Kestrel strokes the bird, then let's her fly loose around the room. I admire the bird's grace and beauty. She says, "This is Sasha. She is my pet."

'Wow." I say, over awed.

"Do you have a partner for the dance, yet?" Kestrel asks me.

I try not to smile and let show how much I'm blushing. "Well, he hasn't asked yet, but we have had a long history together. I'm sure he's intending to ask me. His name is Soren. You?"

Kestrel laughs. "Sounds like your partner, Soren, is a definite yes. I don't have anyone yet, but..." And she fades off into thoughtfulness.

Just then, I get a text. From Soren. It says, Hey. Thomas just came outside and looking really angry. He's particularly looking at me. What did I do?

"Excuse me a minute." I say to kestrel. She nods, and I walk over to the bleachers and text back, it was me. Don't worry, I'm fine, but he sure has it in for me.

What did you do? Are you sure your okay? Where are you? I'm coming over.

In the gym. Yes, I'm okay! Don't worry.

A few few minutes later, he walks in. He comes over to me immadiately. He puts an arm around my waist and after surveying me to satisfy himself that I am fine, leans over and kisses me gently. I giggle, then say, "Ahem. Soren, let me introduce you to kestrel. Kestrel, this is Soren. Soren, Kestrel just walked in here, told Thomas to take his hands off me, and pretty much saved me."

Soren shook her hand fervently. "Can't thank you enough."

Kestrel blushes. "No problem." She slides a glance over to me, and I can read the expression in her eyes: this handsome, strong dude is her boyfriend?!

((Hope I didn't control kestrel too much.))
