I'm writing a fantasy aimed for kids my age and I was wondering if people liked fantasy. I personally love it (which you can probably deduce from my name), so I want your opinion. Do you like fantasy? (Oh, by the way, not all fantasy is faries. I perfer dragons and elves like in Eragon and stuff.)

Dear Phoenix,

I really like fantasy and I don't like just fairies, either!!  I am writing a book called "Elves."  Elves live on a star, called Dawn, and a guy comes from earth to capture a 17-year-old elf for a science experiment.  But while he is on Dawn, trying to capture her, he falls in love with her!  He then has to decide what to do: run for his life (with her) or turn her over to his evil boss.  What decision do you think he makes?

I love fantasy so much!!  I'm also writing a book aimed for kids our age.  I'm not going to put in any detail because I don't want anyone copying my work (like any loyal Cricket fans would do that!) but it is going to to be fantasy and if it ever gets published, Cricket'S Letterbox is going to hear about it!! :)

Awesome!:):):) I just love reading about other kids my age who like to read and/or write books! By the way, my sister has the same name as you, just spelled in another way! Instead of B-e-c-c-a, it's B-e-c-k-a!:) What kind of books do you like to read?:)

I'm writing a book called Saan Dok's Story or The Story Of Saan Dok, I can't remember which. Anyway, I worked on it today. I am also writing a book based on my mom's bedtime stories she tells to me called Kitty And Yap.

I, too, adore fantasy.  Hve you ever read the books written by T. A. Barron?  They're many series of fantasy about Avalon, an "in between" place.  I highly reccomend it!

Agreed.  Eragon is another of the best (as you may deduce from my homeland).

Fantasy's my favorite type of story to write! It's nice knowing there are so many Cricket readers that like it, too. Fantasy is so cool because there are no boundaries. The author pretty much has no limits of their imagination.
