House RP

Welcome to Esu! A world much like Earth, but for its School system. No, not education. Everyone in the country of Esu chooses a school of magic to study, and thus chooses their class.

There are four school, each with houses: the School of the Mind, the School of the Element, the School of the Body, and the School of the Heart.

ONLY ONE OF EACH HOUSE

School of the Mind: Think Ravenclaws. Their houses are:

House Kineta (telekinects, my charrie)

House Telepa (telepaths)

House Seera (future sight)

School of the Element: Very diverse, think Ravenpuffs I guess. Each house kind of has individual traits.

House Aquata (water control, Ravenclaw-ish)

House Terra (stone control, Gryffindor-ish)

House Fiera (fire control, Slytherin-ish)

House Aera (air control, Hufflepuff-ish)

School of the Body: Think jocks or Gryffindors. Their houses are:

House Fita (super strength)

House Litha (super speed)

House Leipa (super agility)

School of the Heart: Think dramatic, and stereotypically girly regardless of gender. Their houses are:

House Miraga (illusion creation)

House Glamoura (can change physical appearance to that of different people)

House Sonata (charmspeak)

The plot: We all come from different houses, but must band together to fight the Maka, or the power-thief, an ancient deity that can take all powers.

Name: Cere Latta (sear-lott-ah)

Age: 13 (everyone is either 13 or 14)

Gender: F

School and House: House Kineta, of School of the Mind

Intelligence (out of 100): 100/100

Physical strength (out of 100): Being short and thin, 10/100

Power strength (no one can be over 90, we're all too young): 88

Appearance: White-blonde hair in a bun, bright green eyes, very pale.

Personality: Smart, reserved, sly.

Dear everyone,

I am so sorry, but I am removing School of the Elements. If you made a charrie in school of the elements, they cannot join.

Sorry,

Brookeira.

P.S: Many of you made characters in houses that were already taken, please check to make sure you didn't and/or change your charrie!

Two questions:

One, can we start?

And two, is the Maka a single monster, or is it a group/society of people who can all steal powers? Or a group/society of people who all work for a master who can steal powers? Can you describe the Maka more? Thanks! Because I kind of have an idea, and I need to know more about the Maka to know if it will work!

TOPTOPTOPTOP! Can we start now? If not, disregard this post!

~Glassina

The images. They keep returning. Mother in her deathbed, baby Lenore in her arms. Father in his sickbed, the dreadful stench of sickness. And Lenore, my sister, all I had after Father died, disappearing. We were together, on the street, then I let go of her hand for an instant... and she was gone.

And now I'm at school, the money paid for by my grandmother, who hardly notices me. The School of the Heart, not sutible for me at all, but where Mother had gone. House Glamoura, full of simple girls, nice enough, but there's always a barrier between us, and that's the pain I've expirienced. My heart longs to be like them, so carefree, so happy.

I am now in History class, and the teacher is talking about the Maka, the ancient deity who had been bound long ago by the most powerful sorcerers and sorceresses. Who gave their lives to acomplish that goal. There are rumors that the Maka has been rising again, gaining followers, causing fear, but there have always been rumors. And they will stay rumors.

I catch eyes turning toward me, they eyes of boys, simple and flirty, staring at me hungrily, like I'm just a piece of bread, and they are starving for me. Starving, like Lenore and I were when Father died, when she disappeared. Starving, for me. Sometimes, I want to scream at them, cry out and tell them about my pain, scream that they don't understand, and never will! But if I do that, it will only get me dragged deeper into everything, and they will only keep coming. Just ignoring them, that's what I try to do.

"Glassina Archer!" A boy whispers at me, making their silly eyes. Puppy dog eyes, they call them, "Glassina, will you please go to the dance with me? The school dance?"

My mother's words come rushing back to me, "Glassina, never do something you dont' want to do. And don't mess with boys and dances 'till your old enough and mature enough."

I lift my head up high, "No. I won't, and I never will. Stop asking," Because he's asked many times already.

And he slumps back, disappointed. I plan to stay in the background during the dance. I wouldn't go at all, if Mrs. Heartson hadn't required me to. She told me I needed to be more social. How can you be social, when your heart is broken forever? I wanted to ask her that. But I've learned to keep my mouth shut at school. Because if your me, you just don't talk if you don't have to.

We'll start at the schools, then our charries will be summoned to a "special meeting" where they will be told about the Maka, the Faceless Power-Stealer.

Are the schools boarding schools or not? (The first thing my character would do upon getting to school is note her surroundings, so I'd like a couple more details, please.)

If you haven't decided that yet, can they be boarding schools? It'd make it easier for my charrie.

Rhideria Y~

School of the Mind.

House Telepa.

Im scared out of my wits.

Cera walks up to me. "Hey, it's okay. You're gonna be fine." I nod, shaking. I feel for her train of though and notice she's as scared as I am. It's faint though, since I'm not the best with my power.

Cera walks to the entrance. "You coming? Or are you just going to stand by the gate all day?"

I half smile. "Coming."

My friend is here. I have nothing to be afraid of.

So why am I frightened?

Celestina-

"No, no, no! Celestina, mio caro! You should know better. You must hit the C's perfectly in your aria!" Signora Amerotta scolds me. I am in the School of Heart, in House Sonata like my mother and her mother before her. I am the third to pass through the halls of my legendary House, the third Sonatina in a long line of power.

My powers seem trivial compared to the Kinetas or Telepas, but no one seems to remember that it is music that moves people. I can sing a stone-souled man to tears or make a sad, sad girl smile again.

Signora Amerotta is an old family friend, also of the House Sonata, and she is training me for my next performance in the School of Heart. But our lesson is interuppted when the signora receives an urgent message that I am needed at a "special meeting"

Did I do alright?

Are the schools in different places? Or is it one big school with seperate 'schools' inside, then houses inside the schools? I'm going to go with different places very close to each other.

~Glassina

"URGENT MEETING!" The loudspeaker sounds and everyone else looks up. I just sit there, staring at me hands, "Celestina Overy, Sountar'll Kallry, and Glassina Archer, please report to the office."

Glassina Archer? I look up to see the whole class staring at me. I slowly get up and walk stiffly out of the room, leaving my books on my desk. Whatever it is, it shouldn't take long. But... why was I called there? What happened? Was it... grandmother? But then why the other two girls? Questions swirl in my head as I enter to see one girl already there, with auburn hair and green eyes.

She grins widely, extending her hand, "Celestina Overy! It's very nice to meet you!"

I reach over and slowly shake her hand, something I haven't done in ages. I stay silent, and she frowns, "You are..."

"Glassina Archer."

She nods, still smiling, when a third girl joins us, with brown hair in a loose bun, "Hello, everyone. I'm Sountar'll Kallry. I suppose you know why I'm here?"

I shake my head, but Celestina uses a more verbal response, "Oh, we don't know yet. We're still waiting for someone to come tell us!"

Just then, a woman with a tight, black bun enters the room.

"Hello! I'm Celestina Ov-" Celestina starts, but the woman interrupts her.

"I know who you are. Come with me," She stands and walks over to the wall.

I frown, confused. Why is she standing there? Then she presses a button on her watch and a part of the wall slides open to reveal a doorway, with stairs leading down.

"Go down. The others will be there. Matthew down there will tell you about the Maka."

The name Maka sends a shiver down my spine, but I step down the stairs carefully. Why would I be called here to be told about the Maka?

When the stairs end, there is a small, dimly lit room with a few people around my age in it, and an old man, sitting with them, a grave look on his face, "Celestina. Glassina. Sountar'll. Welcome."

I nod, sitting down, and he begins to talk, "Now that everyone is here, I'll tell you why you're here. The Maka are rising. The rumors are true. The Maka is gathering followers, an army, to take our powers for themselves. And we need help. That's why we took you, nine people, one from each house, to help us."

There is a silence, then someone asks, "Why us?"

Sorry I haven't posted, really busy the last few days.

~Sountar'll

I felt my stomach drop, an aching uneasiness swimming through my gut.

"Why us?" Someone spits out, as if they've been holding it back.

All eyes avert toward the man.

"Well.....

Sorry it's so short, I have to leave. :-(

The loudspeaker sings to life as I make a boulder levitate. As I lower it, I hear "Rhideria and Cere and (insert other charrie's name here), please come to the office."

Soon enough I am seated in the office with the others. Rhideria glances at me nervously, and I smile. It'll be fine,I think. She doesn't look reassured.

Soon enough, the Headmistress has told us everything: the Maka is gathering followers. Followers who wear his mask. We are needed.

I'm sorry for not posting earlier! Things got really busy really fast, and I haven't had a chance to post any RP selections on the CB yet.

Frieda~

"What do you see?"

I stare at the deck of cards in front of me. Although most of the House Seera do not work on circus tricks, the teachers believe that the best way to stabilize my seeing is to concentrate on cheap tricks. They are automatic to most of the students, but because I can't focus on what I would like to see, I find them challenging.

Battling the events my mind wants to show me, I focus on the cards and try to read them. I can feel something coming on, something that feels right, when--

"Rhideria Yussh, Cere Latta, and Frieda D'Arcy, please come to the office."

I sigh and stand, suppressing nervousness. "I could feel something coming on," I tell the teacher before leaving.

I join the other two girls-- from different houses-- and wait in the office. The Headmistress, using a button on her watch, slides open a panel in the wall.

"Oh," I breathe. I've seen this wall before. It's the beginning of the visions . . .

She leads us downstairs to a large round table. We sit at it, right by an old man, and she leaves us. Other students, who must be from other schools, arrive too, from different entrances. This must be important.

The man begins speaking, informing us that the rumors are true. I know this already, but did not know it would happen so quickly. He tells us the Maka are rising and gathering an army. And us nine-- one from each house, three from each school-- are supposed to stop them.

"Why us?"

It isn't me, of course. I know why.

"Well . . . " he begins. "Your teachers have observed the students since your first days at your respective schools. It was incredibly close, of course, but they have decided that you nine are the most powerful from each house."
That's a lie. I would be able to tell even without knowing the true reason. I am most surely not the most powerful of my house, and others seem to be thinking along the same lines, as I can see their doubt etched on their faces.

Evidently, the man can see them too, for he says, "That will be all. Tomorrow we will collect you and give you additional instructions."

"That will be all," The man says, but I know there's more. There's always more.

So I surprise everyone by talking,"Tell us more," I say quietly, almost a whisper.

He nods, "The Maka have also been... kidnapping children. To take as servants. I believe..." he fidgeted, then looked at me, "Meet me here, later. I need to tell you something important, Glassina Archer."

I nod, "Okay."

Another girl, Sountar'll, retaliates angrily, "But why her? If there is information, all of us should know it!"

But he shakes his head, "It is personal, Sountar'll."

She frowns and crosses her arms, but says no more.

I am curious to know what he wants to tell me. I look at him, searching for clues, wishing I had the powers of House Telepa, and could see what he was thinking.

He gets up, and leaves, leaving us all sitting here silently, looking at one another, who we would be fighting alongside.
